Welcome Guest Welcome, guest We're so glad you could come. Please, make yourselves at home And you're sure to have fun. The sheets are clean and The pillows are fluffy. You'll be happy to know, The mattress isn't lumpy. So pull up the covers, Get cozy and comfy. We don't mind if you snore, Just don't wake up grumpy. Valerie K. Russell Copyright ©2003 Valerie K. If wish to use it, please contact me. *[a.] Picayune, MS [title] "Welcome Guest" [pers.] I have a large, southern family who enjoys getting together for any occasion. It is not unusual for us to find sleeping space for twenty or more people. Everyone who visits loves sleeping in the Guest Room. They say the antique rice bed is so comfortable. They even call ahead to reserve this room especially if we are having a full house. The inspiration for this poem sprang from my love of having guests and writing poetry. It was a natural thing to write a poem and hang it on the Guest Room wall for everyone to enjoy. | |
