Look at a Man
Look at a man so brave and so strong.
He holds his head high ;the power he yields.
His words carry over. He plays all the fields.
But, behind his façade , you've gotten it wrong.
Look at a man; past his strength and his power.
Is a woman who held him, and stood at his side.
With each challenge he met; help keeping his stride.
She's his rock. His brace. His goddess. His flower.
Look at a man, and you'll see all his work.
In his woman's hands a palette of dreams.
Giving birth to ideas, to plans, and his schemes.
His every step up, fixing duties he shirked.
Look at a man; look past all he'll be.
Is a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend.
A daughter of God, a lover, with much ears to lend.
A caretaker , a sharer, a loving gift barer you'll see.
That’s when you look at a man
