Hi all! I have a question and hopefully you all can help me. I had seen teh pussy willows have budded out here in Alberta and I just love them! I picked a whole bunch last night and have them now in water on my kitchen table. But I know there is a way to preserve them as I have seen them in the craft stores dried out. That is what I would like to do. I would like to be able to keep them for quite a while and use them in my basement as a decoration when I finishe renovating. Do you all know how I could do this? I would appreciate any advice. I thought maybe it was by spraying them with hairspray, but I wasn't sure. Hugs to you all Judy

After you have picked your cattails or pussywillows  you can spray them with cheap aerosol hair spray, really stiff icky cheap stuff is the best.

Or you could spray paint them any color you want.  That’s it!! Beautiful!

Thankyou Kate, I thought maybe you could but I wasn't sure. Chris left me some wonderful links to this sort of thing. I saved the addy on that site and I feel it will be  very helpful as well. But the advice form that site tells you how to preserve them before  they open up. So since mine already did I will try the hairspray and maybe if I can find some Pussy Willows that are not open yet I will try them the way that that site said. Thanks so much hun for your help. Hugs Judy
