This is a Role-Playing community with a twist.  We here at Elmshade allow many different types of characters. We believe that the RP world was designed for a balance of RP characters, both good and evil. After all, you can't have one without the other. That being said, we don't want evil characters in the village proper. This includes every place except in MTs and NTs, the Sparring Arenas and Ruins. You're welcome to run an evil character, but be warned: if you bring him/her into town and cause trouble or problems, management will deal with your character harshly. There are NO exceptions to this rule.  

If you are experienced in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, or other Medieval Fantasy settings of RP, look around. We use ONLY 2nd Edition AD&D here, but a few things from 1st edition may be allowed as the managers deem necessary or helpful. We, the managers, encourage you to read the message boards to keep up with current events in and around the community.  If you need any help on entering the Village, just e-mail the managers at [email protected].   We have a knack for creating story lines at the spur of the moment. 

If you are new to RPing and would like to try us out, please let us know on the OOC boards or via e-mail before beginning - that way we can help you with character information and playing.  We also advise that new members take a look at the Helpful Tips, Current Threads, and Membership Guidelines to learn more about Elmshade.  Please look around, and we look forward to roleplaying with you!
