 MT: Plague of Evil

Part I Base of Operations

A long time ago, in a land not too far away, the plague of evil had once again struck the land. With a groan of stressed joints, the bones shifted, moved, and rose. From the depths of the dirt ridden grave rose the skeleton. Nails scrabbled at the edges of the hole as it rose and moved to its master’s side. The evil one began to laugh; once again he had been successful. Once again his foul necromancy had worked, and yet another undead came to join his hoard.

What is known:

1: With the abandoning of Marri-Glen by the army recently, evil is once again on the rise.

2: the nearby abandoned castle of Glittergem, which guards the long abandoned gemstone mines, has been seized by orcs, trolls, and other foul beasties.

3: the leaders of Marri-Glen do not wish to see a foothold of evil so near their peaceful village. Without the army’s protection they would be vulnerable to attack.

What is offered:

1: A group of adventurers will be payed handsomely up to, but not exceeding 1000 gp per person for their troubles.

2: the adventurers will have an opportunity to take over Glittergem keep, making it their own base of operations. In which they could use it for a staging area to go after more foul creatures, or perhaps reopen the gemstone mines and grow rich and well known.

Game mechanics and house rules:

1: First and foremost have fun

2: Second edition campaign for four to six fifth level PCs.

3: Posting requirements: DM will try to get a post up once a week, adjusted by desires of players and pace of the game. Players must be able to post at least one to two times in a seven-day period. If this is a problem due to RL circumstances, please e-mail the DM to avoid the possible removal of your character from the game.

4: Have Fun!

5: Please abide by DM’s rulings. Any questioning of a DM’s decision should be handled through e-Mail, where I will be happy to justify my actions or explain to you why the dragon bit you in half… (Just kidding about the dragon biting someone in half)

6: Although there will be an OOC section, All conflicts should be handled off the boards.

7: By no means is an OOC post to bisect a post on the game board. IF for some reason you need to post an OOC comment, please put at at the end of your post.

8: Good role-playing is expected, the game mechanics should take a back seat roll to the storyline.

9: I seek to remind all players, that this is a game, and please do not let one character's actions IC affect two players' interactions OOC.

Character creation:

1: Player characters must choose from the following races:

  • dwarf
  • elf
  • gnome

6: Hit points are max at first level, rolled via Irony.com thereafter

Please contact the DM with all character submissions at:

I encourage anyone interested to submit a character for approval. Even if you are unsure, please drop me an e-mail. I’ll be happy to help in any way I can. If I can’t help you, I can probably find someone who can.

Ye DM,

Jeff

"Vampires?"

"What have those evil beings of the night have to do with us?" Her lovely face turned towards Jeff, evan as her hand rested upon her blade. "Such cannot be allowed to exist can they my fine Chevelier? What say you, Healer?"

"Vampires?" Well at leist it isn't a cursed sextant of player distraction!

"Vampires?" Where!! The fine Chevelier pickes up a medium size stick and starts sharpening it at one end.  Hey Healer did you bring the Holy Water?

I haven’t heard from the DM lately I fear he fell victim to the dreaded Finals Dragon and failed his save vs. it’s bewilderment Breath weapon.   He may now be trapped in some library in a daze uncontrollably and randomly rambling  all the facts that he recently tried to cram!

Hey folks...I'm looking for Pics for  a different Paladin of Sune. Should have Red/brown hair and fairish skin if possible.
Thanks

If you don't like any of them, I'll keep looking.  The third would need a bit of editing to make it just her and not the text, but i could do that if you needed.

Big Jon, she probaably needs armor too.

Has anyone ever noticed that in video games women are always wearing less armor?  My favorite example is in World of Warcraft.  The female characters' version of a set of armor covers less than half the amount of surface area compared to the males', but offers the same protection.

Yeah, I got attacked by the Christmas Dragon, and his stupid  Frozen Breath weapon. I dont like the added effect of "joy" and "happiness", but what can you do?

Well it started long ago, just look at Dragon Mags from the late 80’s.  Of course there are the original forgotten realms novels Azure Bonds I think it was called (its been over a decade since I read them).  The main character was wearing some quite reviling +4 chain.  Of course a true female Paladin has her faith to protect her!

Believe it or not, the DM says he's going to have the post up soon.

Merry Christmas... ish... to everyone!
