Jeyelle flew above them all, her grey eyes widening at the sight of the hundreds of ghosts. The cleric of the Sun God was confident of her abilities to turn undead...but that many at once would undoubtedly overwhelm her. She was very careful to stay away from them. When she saw the others arrive safely at a somewhat concealed entrance, she looked around once more, making sure all were safe. Only then did she dive down to join the others, landing near them. "Hurry," she murmured. "If this is a way inside, then get inside and I will take up the rear. There are many, many undead about. The fewer who notice us, the better."

As Storm ran, giving quite a show to that young whipper snapper (lol) Shaelor does laps around him. "your going to owe me 2 gold old man." he sticks out his tounge and slides into the hole. Storm going in next. Kaze loads and fires an arrow as two ghosts fly up towards Jey. The arrow screams loudly, mimicing the sound of a banshee. The arrow wisses past Jey and the ghosts fly off believing she is a bansee. The loud screech causes Ireana to slow holding her ears.
As she holds her ears two ghouls come to attack. (rolls 18, 15) The first ghoul scratches her. the second misses. (roll, 3 Failed save. 6 points of damage. Parilization) Ireana grabs her arm and falls limp to the ground.

Raven laughs as the athletic Shealor runs by him, he nods his defeat to the young man and enters the hole behind him. Turning around to be sure everyone else makes it inside he watches as the rest run dodging the undead outside. He waits to see where he can be of assistance....

((OOC: Im not sure if Raven can see anyone outside the hole, but if he can see Ireanna fall he would use RuneStaff to pull her inside the hole.))

Jeyelle blinked in disbelief as the ghosts flew away from her. She realized a split second later what must have happened, and made a mental note to thank Kaze later, when there wasn’t so much danger from the undead. The ariel saw Ireana’s plight and swooped down, drawing her mace from her waist as she did so. She tried to hit one of the ghouls in a fly-by sweep attack with her mace of disruption, hoping the exquisite weapon would destroy her target.

Jey flys down and swing the mace at the ghoul (critical hit) You clobber the ghoul in the face with the mace and dust the undead creature. the other jumps up and trys to hit Jey. and misses terrebly.as its in the air Kaze fire a flaming arrow at the ghoul, insinerating him on the spot. Jey can land to get Ireana. Kaze backs to the entrance but waits for jey to get into the hole. squacks are heard in the distance.

The flock of strange beakless bird come and fly over thegraveyard. most likly from all the noise and commotion. They fly and start hitting the corpral undead with webs as they quickly fly towards the ones outside the mound. As they fly over they give Kaze and Jey enough time to enter the mound without being noticed.

Jeyelle smiled as her mace destroyed the undead creature, yelling, "Praise to Apollo! His Holy Light once more smites Evil!" As she landed near Ireana, she shot a grin to Kaze. "You have my thanks, archer," she said, then ducked into the hole after the others, tucking her large grey wings to her back.

Even a bit of daylight entering through a crawl space or a torch will reviel that this is an unusual tunnel. Bright, brilliant colors are to be seen everywhere, the stones and pigments undimmed by the passage of decades. The floor of the corridor is a colorful mosac of stone, with a distinct, winding path of red tiles about 2' wide easily visible to the onlooker. No stonework can be seen on the walls or smoothed over all of these surfaces and then illustrated. The scenes painted show fields with kine grazing, a copes with several wolves in the background, slaves going about various tasks.Certain of the frescoes show room of some buildings-a Library, a tortour room, a wizards work room, esc.

The Wizards Workroom: After about 20 feet down the hall you all notice that the box the two carvings are holding, is an actual box. it is partially hanging out on the wall. it can open up part of the way while its in the wall. to open it up all the way it must be removed entirly.

Jeyelle’s eyes shifted to infravision in the dimness of the corridor. The petite elven cleric studied the paintings on the walls and the stones on the floor with great interest. "I wonder how old this place is?" she asked quietly, not aiming the comment at anyone in particular, but simply curious. When they came to the box in the wall, she gave the others a wary look. "I don’t think we should pull it out. What if it’s trapped? Kaze, can you or Ireana search it for traps? I’m sure Raven can examine it for magical traps," she said. Then she glanced at the white mage with a hopeful expression. "You can, can’t you?"

Once everyone was safely inside the hole, Raven cast a Wall of Stone over the opening to prevent anything from following them. He then activates the crystal on top of RuneStaff, sending out a soft blue light which will not hinder infravision. Rune Staff used ultraviolet light, which was invisible to infra-red senses.
Turning to the others and the long dark hallway, Raven looked around examining the symbols, inscriptions, and any writing he can see. He looks to the floor with suspicion, and the red trail leading down the hall. "I dont like this, we should take precautions even stepping on the floor around here. The place stinks of ancient traps, but I will at least try to locate any magical ones." He nods to Jayelle with a grin, and casts Detect Magic. Using the spell like a flashlight he'll point it tward the walls, floor, cieling, and the strange box.

With a little time Ireana shakes off the parilization, everyone looks to the place itself. "this place is over 3,000 years old." Kaze puts in admiring the place. Shealor helps Ireana up and Ireana pays the mage his gold due.
"you did well old man." Ireana put in.
Kaze drew his knife and removed the lock. he smirks "no trap." he slowy pulls the chest out but stops seeing there is a cord attached to the back of the chest that you imagine is a trap trigger. he cracks the box open and pulls out 4 bottles of liquid (potions)
When Kaze places the box back where it is, an explosion occurs about 10 feet up the hall, a decent burst of flame. the explosive force makes people take a step back. As the smoke cleared a person jumps up out of the hole. The man is a muscular man dressed in thick and hard leather armor. A large heavy looking basterd sword adorns his hip. a bag on his side and a pair of bracers on his arms. He has long white hair and pale skin. He dusts himself off and puts his hand on his sword. "WHO ARE YOU GUYS!?"

Raven looks up to the exploding wall surprised, he brings up his staff in defense on intsinct. After the dust clears, and he hears and sees the strange man... he just shrugs not really knowing what to do. "Were here on an archeological dig?" After a brief pause he continues... "Listen, we dont want any trouble with you so just calm down." Raven tries to negotiate first.

Jeyelle jumped nervously as the warrior appeared out of the smoke. She frowned and brought her hands up in preparation to cast at the man if it should prove necessary. The red-haired elven woman studied him for a long moment and then spoke in her normal, quiet voice. "As my friend here has said, we've been studying these ancient markings. (Which was true - they HAD been looking at the old pictures and glyphs along the walls) How is it that you come to be here, sir? And the man's right," she said, motioning to Raven. "There's no need to be hostile. We come in peace."
