Does anyone do any fall planting in their gardens?? I read something in a new magazine I bought the other day.. one of the things this lady always looked forward to September for was planting her fall garden.... so exactly what do you plant in a fall garden?? melons, are earlier here, gourds, plant earlier too, so.. any suggestions????

i'm going to do this this year since i missed the spring planting! first i have to knock down all the weeds, cover with newspapers and grass clippings.
i'm going to plant swiss chard, broccoli, and some lettuce. i keep my garden small since i work full time.

as far as flowers go, fall mums and other cool weather flowers (ask the local nursery) are nice. i'm going to get some of those planted in the front beds as well.
