When you have conquered PIC, THEN you may take the next step: Tackle Mt. Washmore~ and that means EVERYTHING!!! Major Laundry Marathon: You will need at least an entire day to do this, maybe more. I find weekends are a great time for this... You must wash everything..this means: -
strip beds & wash everything(sheets, pillow cases, blankets, dust ruffles, throw pillows) -
curtains -
all rugs thru the house -
tablecloths, table scarves, etc. -
stuffed animals Dust collects on Everything! You would be surprised how many health problems/allergy related could be eliminated & or not so bad by doing this... You will sleep better if your sheets & pillows, curtains are freshly washed. Air and fluff your pillows, then cover them with an anti-allergen cover (to protect against dust mites). Once you've stripped the mattress, take the time to flip it. You should turn your mattress regularly to prevent uneven wear. It will last longer. While you're at it, dust and vaccuum the room, and under the bed too! Treat your laundry, and yourself to a little luxury! Add lavender water, or rose water to your wash water. You can also fill your steam iron, then press your sheets, pillow cases, etc. Your linen closet and your bed will smell super! Think we're nuts??! (lol) Try it yourself. It is one of many ultimate little luxuries. The scent of lavender is said to cause a peaceful slumber. It is very calming something moms on the go need....(a DE~STRESSER) Hang your clothes outside for that fresh outdoor smell..Line drying also gets your whites Xtra-white because sun will bleach them some...Fold and put everything away NOW!!! not in 10 minutes not tomorrow or tonite....NOW!!!! (this is for your own peace of mind) hang curtains back up & remake your bed.... Your linen closet should be stacked full & fresh smelling... Now for your reward ~RELAX! -
