It's so great that we're all getting organized!  It feels like we're making great progress, and turning our houses into the homes they should be.  Cleaning and organizing always helps to reduce stress!  De-cluttering our home also de-clutters our brains - allowing us to feel peaceful & less stressed.

Since we are getting our clutter under control, it's time to get our household management under control too!  This could be a huge undertaking, but like everything else, we're going to tackle it in steps!

 

There are many things involved in household management - I don't need to tell you - and we're going to organize all of it into a Home Organizer.  This will be our blue print for running an almost self~sufficient organized home!

I don't want you to think we're going to be overly organizing things (after all, we're human and we need to make a mess), but theHome Organizer will enable us to have everything at our fingertips in an instant, and will also be an assest for you and your family. 

I know that you are all involved in various challenges, and to a degree this step involves getting your paperwork in order - So for right now I'm going to make this simple.  The only thing you need to do right now is find a large folder, envelope, or box - just something to hold important papers and household information.  While you work on your Weekly Spotlites..whether it be the kitchen, the bedroom , etc. collect these things and put them all together.  Examples of things usually lying around:   owners manuals (TV, Stereo, Phone...), Life Insurance information, Bills, Receipts, Tax info, Phone #'s, and every piece of paper you have floating around but don't know what to do with!

Step # 4 is to get all of your household information into one place.  Do this a little at a time so that it doesn't become overwhelming!  Work everything into your daily challenges. 

Eventually, all of your household information will be efficiently organized into your Home Organizer...

Next step will include beginning to organize your household information.  Everyone's HO will be different.  You have to customize it to suit your family, but there will be some standard features.  We will be posting printable pages that you can put into a three ring binder.
