Well, not sure, but I for awhile now, certain times of the year, why I have no clue but will get little pinpoint specks in the commode, which must be some kinda mold or mildew.. I've also noticed other people that I clean for & have talked to some that have had this same problem.. but I bought some BAM cleaner at the $ store & I can put that in the commode & leave it & the spots are gone & will stay gone for a few weeks now.. but of course I don't mix any cleaners, but for the rim & around the back, around down by the floor & bottom part of commode I use WINDEX & paper towels.. paper towels cause I can throw them away & Windex has ammonia in it, so it cleans well too.. but after I use it I don't have any kinda smell like that at all.. hope this helps.. gina
vinegar is good to clean alot of things.. I love taking baking soda & vinegar to put down my kitchen drains, pour baking soda & then put vinegar, it bubble up & leaves your drains smelling clean & fresh..
another thing for kitchen drains that my aunt told me about.. take laundry detergent (preferably the powders) pour some of that, then bleach on top of that, then let it set a few, then run hot water down the drain to push it on through, now that left my drains smelling sooo fresh.. but one time I put too much powders (by mistake) & had them clogged, took me a bit to get that undone, but it sure did smell good.. lol..
