Well, Today I met with my new neurologist. She was FABULOUS! I've heard a lot of negative things about neurologists and their attitudes, but this one was a true gem. Turns out I was right four years ago after all. It looks like I have a very early stage of MS. They'll be doing another, more extensive MRI (friday) and a spinal tap (next Wednesday) before they can give an absolute diagnosis, but she's quite certain that's what we're looking at and went on to counsel and educate me about it. Luckily it is very early and there's a lot that can be done medically and supplement and lifestyle-wise. I'm not as upset as I thought I might be. I think a lot of it has to do with having considered it before and never completely pushing it out of my mind since then. I also know your prayers and warm thoughts have been a huge boon for me.

My heart is still an issue, however. The MS is not to blame for my palpitations. I'll continue wearing my heart monitor and meet again with my cardiologists for further direction there, but at this point it doesn't appear that my hole, or PFO, is causing mini-strokes. Those symptoms are to blame on the MS. Luckily both my cardiologist and neurologist work at the same university so all my records are easily exchanged back and forth and they'll be working on the same team..... with me....so there won't be such a worry about over medicating or contradictions in treatment.

So, that's the story for now. It looks like I'm going to really have to refine my FLYing efforts and streamline our household so that things around here will continue to function even if I can't! I'm so glad I've been working on it for a while now. It's just time to get serious about it!

Thanks again for your prayers! My Bishop (the equal to a preacher or minister in my congregation) called tonight to see how I was doing and remarked on how chipper and positive I was being. I told him I knew it was due to all the angels buoying me up...both seen and unseen angels! Thank you, thank you for the part you've played in that!! It has really made a difference.

Lots of love,
~Toni

I know it really helps when you finally get answers. I know alex has different problems then you but we went through the same, not knowing for years and once we got the answers it became alot better. You will always be in my prayers.
