hi, Well I havent weighed in at Weight Watchers in about 6 weeks. I think I am done with that program. I got on the Gazelle(exercise machine) today for 20 minutes. I walked at a reasonable rate since I cant do anything strenuous for another week due to my surgery. But I wanted to at least move my body some. I am trying to plan how I will get back on track with this weight issue. I am up to 215 right now. I know that once my period is over(started today), I will have dropped some weight. With the tonsillectomy I just had, I have only been on liquids and ice cream. The doctor said I would probably lose up 5-15lbs. Now i am not banking on that for my weight loss, as I am eating ice cream. But I hope to get at least 3-4 days of movement each week. I also feel like I am going to try to eat more chicken and veges and fruits, then pastas and beef. I really want to feel like I am alive again, rather then sluggish all the time. I also plan on seeing an endocrinologist and talking to them about my hypothyroid medication. As part of my weight loss journey, I also want to keep up with my appts with my phsycyatrist and my counselor. I dont know if anyone wants to join me on any of the above things to try to take better care of themselves, but I would love the company. Maybe a check in once a week would be an idea? Nala |

How's it going nala on the exercise/weight loss journey??? I've decided not only do I want to get in better shape.. I wanna buy some clothes that I actually feel good about me in! not that my clothes now aren't comfy, I just usually wear tees/jeans/ shorts/ sweatshirts, etc.. I hardly ever buy anything that is cute.. & when I do I don't think it looks good on me so where does it go?? in the closet & hangs there for months/ years on end.. so I've been doing taebo every a.m. when dh goes for his walk.. 30 min. each morning.. first time I did it I wanted to take a nap after I got done.. geez.. I've done it a few more times now & I've noticed I don't get sleepy during the day or wanna nap.. after I exercise I am tired, but not wore out.. I do feel like I have more energy.. I've also got a Fitness Flyer (which is kinda like your gazelle) but I would have to clean it off to use it right now.. lol.. BUT I have NO excuses for not losing weight except that I just plain ole don't do something during the day to get at least "30 min" in per day.. We now have besides the FF... an exercise gym in basement, a cardio glide in basement (I hate that thing), an ab lounger & ab doer upstairs as well as ab roller.. (hate that thing too) thinking it's going in rummage sale.. dh just had to have it, but it's hard to do & it is hard on the lower back.. & not to mention I have umpteen exercise videos & if I am up early enuf denise austin comes on @ 6 &@ 6:30.. plus I can go up to our church & walk around the black top parking lot or go down to the school & walk the mile x??? on black top drive OR... if it's raining & I wanna walk.. alot of our church people go up to the church & walk the hallways which you can make a big circle around the sanctuary, so I have no excuses... let me know how your doing.. gina |
