chores/jobs to do...
My girls do.
Catie just turned 4.
She is to put away her clothes, clear her place at the table, dry dishes, help set the table & clean up her messes (toys ect).
Brooke will be 6 in June.
She puts away her clothes, changes her guinea pigs cage, dries dishes, helps set table, cleans her place at the table & cleans up her messes.

My ds doesn't really have any chores at all.

Homework takes up all his time during the school year and time out is basically sports.

He'll do most anything when asked and helps dh in the yard alot.

A lot of ladies on the board have chore lists for their kids so they may be able to help you.

Flinger, how did those lists in the kids room go?
What lists freckles??? lol-- I bought the dry erase boards hung them in their rooms, not sure what kelcie dd(16) done with hers but I never got a  daily/weekly  list made out to post for them. As for dd's room right now! GRRRRR it's totally whacked out right now. with her working & not here as much at nite/after school, seems I can't find time for her to clean her room. Does this mean I'm gonna have to break down & do it??? OH YIKES!  they need to be totally clean swept, & put back together & THEN maybe I can do a list. Great job crystal on having chores going @ younger ages. I think that makes a BIG difference when they get older. Mine usually will do whatever I ask them to do, but we are STILL struggling with kelcies room...gina
Rofl - weren't those dry erase boards full of lists and check off points for you?

Kelcie will be a flylady when she has her own place and has aged a whole bunch of year

Mel some people find that these work really well (chore lists) and other people don't.  It's probably just trial and error about what will work for you and fit into your life.

Doesn't Nala have chore lists for her kids?  Who else does?

I had chores growing up & so did my brother & sisters. My DH did not have to do a thing growing up & neither did his sister. It makes things harder on me. My dad always cooked & clean on the weekends. DH feels as though because he works outside of the home he should not have to help at all. I was not raised that way.
