Finally my update on Amy Rose ... with pics !!!
We went to the vet with Amy Rose last Friday (Dec 29 2006).
The University was closed so at our usual clinic.
The vet said that everything is fine for Baby Rose.
She didn't get her Distemper vaccine as she's too young for now.
Nothing has been found in her stools sample analysis, that's very good news.
The vet has given me some Tresaderm for possible ear mites but he
hasn't seen some, it's just in case. I have to put one drop in each ear for 5 days,
stop 5 days and do it again for 5 days. (the first 5 days are over now)
Now you'll have to tell me what you think about that ...
The vet told us that we have to keep them both separated 100 % of the time for at least 45 days !!!!!
He told me that little Rose could bring in our home some parasites or
viruses ( like ear mites, ECE, ADV etc ...) so it's better to be safe. As I wasn't
able and didn't have much time to post earlier, I've read a lot on infos
on many ferrets sites and that's not what people usually do ... most tend to
introduce the baby right away ... and have no problem at all.
Daisy is the one who wants to see baby Rose all the time ...
she's a free roamer for a little more than 1 1/2 year now ...
It's almost impossible for us to keep them separated all the time !!!
Sometimes I have 2 groups LOL and sometimes both are together.
Sometimes Daisy seems to like Rose, sometimes she doesn't ...
She's still very careful with her, she doesn't play rough at all
and no baby dragging for now. I think that Daisy is a little afraid
when the baby is too hyper ... so I play a lot with the baby before,
and it seems to work better. Rose really LOVES Daisy a lot though ! LOL
