I have a problem keeping Chloee out of the cat's food dish. The cat eats Purina cat chow indoor cat dry food. I checked the guide on the side of the bag and crude protien is 30%. I hope the cat food will not harm her. The people I bought her from gave me some food but it is in a seprate container with no labels.
So how do I train her to leave the cat's food alone and eat her food? or should I just let her and the cat eat out of the same dish?
My cats also eat Purina cat chow and I feed them on the counter because I don't want the ferrets eating their food. Not the best place to feed them but started doing so to keep the dog away from the cats' food now the ferrets. The ferrets may eat a stray piece of food that falls on the floor but that's about it. I feed them ferret food as cat food is for cats. The problem I have is the cats will sometimes eat the ferret food that is in a couple bowls on the kitchen floor. The ferret food is far more expensive than the cat food so I don't want the cats eating it.
I feed my 5 cats Natural Balance Ultra premium cat,(petco) so the ferrets can steal if they want and I dont worrie about it's I use to add a 6 lb bag of NBUP to the ferret mix , There ferrets mix is Totally ferret , Innova Evo cat / kitten & 1/2 bag Innova Evo caninie small bites red meat and 1/8 c marshells added to soup only , Evo is 50% protine I think fat 22% , the canine is 40 % , they came out with a Innova Evo ferret ,but its the same as cat/kitten , I cant fine the evo ferret I have to order on line
I have begun to put the cat's food up on the counter while chloee is out and about. At night when she is in her cage I put Blackie's food back on the floor. It's all I can do to keep them eating their own food.
