You are right about albino's. Shelia was deaf also. She was more withdrawn than the others and was a biter. She had 5 previous owners before we got her. We got her when she was 18mo. After about a yr though she didn't bite but remained aloof. Strangely after Rufus and Rascal died she became more attached to us and would follow us around and play with us more. The last 3 yrs that she lived were my most enjoyable with her. I was more attached to her than then her brothers because she was such a challange. My other ferrets lived 6 yrs which is still pretty good. All had adrenal tumors. Rufus I did have the surgeries but he was never the same afterwards so when Rascal and Shelia got them I just let go. |
