However you spell it, it's been one of my bugbears for years. The introduction of the word 'gonna' as a replacement for 'going to' drove me mad. Some years ago, even the BBC newsreaders started using it, and I couldn't believe it. It is now very commonplace with almost everybody. Don't get me wrong, my speech is not the best, and I use it to, but the infection of that word drives me mad. Yesterday in our house I introduced a 'gonna' box, like a swear box. Every time somebody says the word 'gonna' instead of saying 'going to', they put 10p in the box. The first one went n after 5 mins. I put my first one in after about 15 mins to everybody's amusement. After nearly 1 day I think there is about £2 in it, input from all of us. It's costing teh poor children dearly but I hope to eradicate it forever. First here, next the world....lol.

oh dear.....I'd be penniless, I'm always just gonna do something, but good on you!
