Jill, most of them are not butch at all. Some are very attractive and quite feminine. I would post a picture but it wont let me for some reason.

I have watched a bit of the ladies game and a lot of the mens game and i woild have to say that they are different but equally as good in there own way. For example, the womens games I have seen have been considerablely less physical and played at a slightly slower pace than most mens game. Having said that, i have seen women players with just as much, and in some cases more, skill than their male counterparts. The other bonus of the womens game in my opinion is the fact that it doesn't seem to be quite as blighted by the diving and play acting that seems so endemic in the mens game.

Back in the long ago days, I knew a lassie who played for the Doncaster Belles....

 

She was very impressive indeed, as were the team.....

 

The international team are very good, as are our cricket team....
