I need a background to use for my son's business. I am just doing his letter head on my computer, not too fancy, but want it to look better than what he has now. Is there anyway someone can make a tag similar or a simple background similar to this? I don't know how copyrite works, but I would think that I am not allowed to use this, and I have no idea how to get ahold of the maker ?????? I am totally in the dark about this stuff. Even if I can get a simple background with the flag stars and stripes, that would be perfect! Thanks! Karen |

This is a blank tag and has copy right on it but it can't be used for business. None of the art I have can be used for a logo for a business letter either. You will need to do some research and get art just for that purpose. Your best bet would be to just use a letter logo and if you want a red white and blue them color the font that way. I am attatching an example. I would need to know the letter or letters needed (you can do more then one letter). That is what I did for my husband's home business. Below is an example of what I mean. I have many fonts in many styles. I just need to know what letters you want and how big you want it and we can go from there. OK? This is probably the least expensive way for you to go. Teddie |

| I wanted you to see what BuzyS made you from scratch. She is sick with allergies but will be back in a few days. I think maybe you should hook up with her as she makes her own art. I put this together from scratch but not posted in her thread. Wanted you to see first. Hugs Maureen | |

I love this! So could I use it no problem for my son's business and put his name and address in the middle? this would be perfect! Karen |

Hi Karen...No problem whatsoever. I made this up from scratch using colours you wanted with Stars and Stripes. It is yours to give to your son....no strings. I still have the master copy and if you would prefer I will copyright it to your son either with his surname or initals or you can have it blank and add yourself. I have done a couple of logos for small bussinesses in the past. The only tiny thing to remember is , and it is possible, someone has designed one the same. This can happen with anything however. Just let me know when you have this saved to your PC and I will remove it from my storage. Hugs Maureen |

Dear Maureen, You have no idea how much I appreciate your work! This is truly amazing! I have it saved now to my computer and I thank you ever so much! Now, I have one more question. If I were to want a printer to make the letter head what would I do? I tried printing it out on my laser (photo) printer, and the colors all fade out, so would a printer need something else besides the photo itself? I know nothing about this stuff???? Thanks so much for your help! I know if I went to the printer they would charge a hefty price to make this logo for me! Many Hugs! Karen |

Make sure your printer is set on at 600 dpi's and that you don't need more ink. Another good idea is to go to someplace like Kinkos nd have them print the master copy and then just do copies of it on a copy machine even if it is at Kinkos (but do copies yourself or they charge you arm and leg). OK? It will look more professional that way as they have really good machines. Hugs, Teddie |

But if I do copies and they are light, then what? I get the idea, and that's where I was gonna go was Kinko's but I don't know how to take the art work to them? I wonder if I could print it on photo paper? Karen |

So I did my first copy on photo paper and the red came out great, then after that every single one looked pink, so I changed the ink cartridge, and it's still pink. I am so frustrated! I wanted to experiment a little with red or blue letters, etc. but I can't get any of the new copies to look red. This is so weird! |

You have your settings apparetnly on low settings....when you hit print go to PROPERTIES and set on 600 dpi and highest quality. OK? If t hat doesn't work you need to just save this art to a CD and take to Kinkos. It is not the graphic that is the problem but your printer. I printed this out on my printer adn it was bright and pretty. Teddie |

No, I changed my settings to be the best quality it could, and it's still pink, so you are right, it's the printer. I didn't think of saving it on a disk........... see that's how dumb I am about this stuff.........what would I do without you???????? Thank You sooooo much! I emailed it to my son after I had it all set up, and he's gonna see it a little later today, I just can't wait for him to see it! I am so "proud" of "us" ! lol Thanks ever so much! Karen |
