I adopted the symbol of the teardrop in sympathy for all of the desperate and lonely tears shed by the children who,day after day and night after night, silently endure the pain inflicted on them by their heartless abusers.

I WEPT

 

I think, I'll blame the weatherman

If you notice the tears in my eyes

He did foreast some rain today

So you will never see me cry.

 

I'll hold it all inside of me

And only let it out on rainy days

No one will ever be the wiser

My feelings, I'll keep hidden away.

 

I don't want to get hurt anymore

I'm tired of being abused

Too many people have been so cruel

Which has left me battered and bruised.

 

So I'll remain in my own litle world

Complete with my high brick walls

I don't intend  to let anyone in

I'm still healing from the previous fall.
