Food Processor Peanut Butter

2 cups roasted shelled peanuts

1 TB peanut oil

1/2 tsp. salt (omit if salted peanuts are used)

Using the metal blade, process ingredients continuously for 2 to 3 minutes.

The ground

peanuts will form a ball which will slowly disappear. Continue to process

until the desired

consistency is obtained.

If necessary, stop machine and scrape sides of container with a rubber

spatula.

For crunchy peanut butter, stir in 1/2 cup chopped roasted peanuts after the

processing

is completed.

Store in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator. Oil may rise to the

top. If this occurs,

stir before using.

Yields 1 cup creamy or 1-1/2 cups crunchy peanut butter.

Blender Peanut Butter

1 cup roasted shelled peanuts

1-1/2 tsp. peanut oil

1/4 tsp. salt (omit salt if salted peanuts are used)

Place ingredients in blender. With the lid secured, blend until mixture

becomes paste-like or

spreadable, for 3 to 4 minutes.

If necessary, stop the machine and use a rubber spatula to scrape mixture

from the sides of

the container back into contact with the blade. Continue blending until

desired consistency is

reached.

For crunchy peanut butter, stir in 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts after the

blending is completed.

Store in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator. Oil may rise to the

top. If this occurs, stir

before using.

Yields: 1/2 cup creamy or 3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter.

Homemade Peanut Butter
1 1/2 cups roasted peanuts (unsalted)
1 tablespoon peanut oil

Directions:

For smooth peanut butter:

Mix the peanuts with the peanut oil, and pour the mixture into the
food processor.
Process the mixture until it's very smooth.
Store your smooth peanut butter in a sealed container in the fridge.
It will be good for 2 weeks.

For chunky peanut butter:

Take about 1/4 cup out of your 1 1/2 cups of peanuts and set aside.
Mix the rest of the peanuts with the oil, and pour the mixture into
the food processor.
Process the mixture until it's very smooth, then stir in the peanuts
that you had set aside.
Process a few seconds more to create the chunks in your chunky peanut
butter.
Store your chunky peanut butter in a sealed container in the fridge.
It will be good for 2 weeks.
Now that you've created the peanut butter style of your choice, how
will you eat it? A peanut butter and jelly sandwich sounds good, or
you could spread it on some crackers.
