2. Pin stocking front to back, with right sides facing and raw edges even. Machine-stitch sides and lower edges in 1/4" seams, leaving upper edge open. Trim seams and clip curves. Pin, stitch and trim lining pieces in same manner.
3. Turn under 1/4" on upper edges of stocking and lining; pin and press edges.
4. Fold hanging loop in half lengthwise, with right sides facing and raw edges even. Machine-stitch edges in 1/4" seam, leaving 2" opening along long edge for turning. Trim seam; turn loop right side out and press. Fold loop in half lengthwise; slip-stitch short ends together.
5. Turn stocking right side out. Place lining inside stocking, fitting toes and heels together. Align side seams and upper pressed edges. Slip-stitch stocking to lining.
6. Pin loop inside upper back corner of lined stocking so basted ends of loop are even with upper edge of stocking and loop hangs down into stocking. Baste loop to stocking.
7. To make cuff, pin cuff front to back at short sides, with right sides facing and raw edges even. Machine-stitch side edges in 1/4" seams, leaving upper and lower edges open to form tube. Press seams open. Pin, stitch and press cuff lining pieces in same manner.
8. Turn cuff lining right side out. Place lining inside cuff with right sides facing, raw edges even, and seams aligned. Pin and stitch lower edges together, leaving upper edge open. Trim seam; turn cuff right side out. Press. Baste raw upper edges together.
9. Place cuff inside stocking, with right side of cuff facing stocking lining. Keep raw edges of cuff even with slip-stitched edge of stocking and seams aligned; pin cuff to stocking, enclosing loop. Machine-stitch cuff to stocking in 1/4" seam. Trim seams.
10. Fold cuff to outside of stocking; press upper edge.
