Where do you live at?  Here in Seattle, some of the methadone clinics will allow you to purchase a "courtsey dose" or two if you can confirm that you're traveling.  That way, it's all legal and you'll have no worries.  Of course, I know it isn't exactly the real thing, but whatever workss, right?

I don't know what it's like now, when I was a traveling musician I had to bring mine with me often - but security is a gazillion times tighter now than it used to be. I remember putting my dope in the bottom of a cold cream container, with the cold cream on top - but I imagine they can x-ray through that now - also used to put it inside of audio cassettes, apparently you could miss the x-ray because the x-ray would mess up the tapes - but hell, now adays it's really tight. I can't think of any really good advice to give - I don't travel much now, but when I do I always bring my methadone - it's of course legal for me. I think if I had to smuggle my own I'd probably just carry a couple of balloons in my mouth, and swallow if necessary. If you've got a habit you can bring 'em back up easy enough. Smuggling dope that way is dangerous they say - if the balloon breaks it could cause you to overdose, though I've done it and again, if you have a habit (tolerance) it would depend how much (quantity) you're talking about. For all the hassle - I'd say methadone is the way to go. Call me crazy but I kinda like it. Lot less hassle too!

Hey Sue- I used to travel all over the world with it- my work took me to lots of places and I always had to be sure I had enough; can't even count the number of times I took planes and crossed int'l borders- including bringing it back into the US.  Not something I'm proud of but I did it literally hundreds of times, never had a problem.  Generally I'd just carry a couple of vials with a couple grams each, which is how they sold it in those countries in my pocket.  I was a pretty respectable looking guy.

 

But that was all pre 9/11.  Now I don't think I'd carry it on a plane, way too risky.  But having said that- one time going to St. Kitts to do ibogaine I was gonna have a layover in Puerto Rico for several hours and I knew that using at home before I left in the early am wasn't gonna hold me 'til I got to St. Kitts in the late afternoon.  I taped a small bag inside the front of my pants, was scared shitless, but did get thru.

 

I don't think I'd ever recommend it to anyone, though.  Far too dangerous in this day and age.  They can stop and search anyone for no reason at all.

You were lucky Marco..true though back in the day it ws alot easier to fly. I'm not sure if you mean methadone or smoke or what Suzie. Methaodne is easy enough..it can go into a cough syrup container or even better..courtesy doses are ususally given. Also if you're flying to a city with clincis themselves they'll usually host you for the duration of your stay..have to set that up way before you leave though...paperwork stuff, ect.

 

Another way that dogs don't catch is the old you know where stash..that too depends on how much..  you want to being for it to work. The old jailhouse stash thing.

 

Used to file the bottoms off of let's say a shaving cream container..(almost empty it first of course..pressure thing)..pack the sides..put the bottom back on very carefully...glue..spray paint..stamp the whole bit..then re-pressurize it with an amount (weight) equal to what's written on the container itself. Shake well after it's dried and set. The shaving cream will come out again if done properly. I would not however..do that today.

 

Powder is the smallest..therefore the easiest to hide well.

DUH..Sue I just read the title again..it is a powder you were asking about...so then the old jailhouse way is probably the best for personal amounts. ANd as far as I know is not detectable by dogs. But it has to be wrapped really well..wrap it in paper then put in a small sealed (tight) plasitc bag..wrap tightly in foil..then wrap that in a packing type tape. For hygeine purposes you could put a condom around it..tie one end and voila..you are off...no pun intended.  And practice if the said person is nervous..you know..walking around in public..get used to it sorta thing.

Don't know about others but I feel guilty at airports..even when I'm not doing anything wrong..I used to anyway..better now. It could be because the damn theme song from the movie "Midnight Express" was either always playing through the speakers or in my head...or both. That'll do it to ya.
