Hello everybody, flapjack here. I have a question. I guess I could have put it up in the general board, but I think it has a somewhat medical connotation. The question is about facial sensitivity as a possible side effect from using dope. I mean some times if I nod off at the table or on the key board for the computer, what ever part of my face was resting on the surface is a little sore the next day or two. But for the last week, week and a half my face(and my girl friend's face)have been very sensitive to touch. Nothing terrible by far, but when rubbed or pressed firmly, as when you pass your hands over you face while waking up, or washing your face, there is marked sensitivity described best as very light soreness/pain sensation/sensitivity. Has anyone else experienced this? Just wondering, as it seems strange to me and my girlfriend. Sympathetic hypochondria? Something in the cut? Don't know. If anyone has any info on this, please let me know. I'll also try to do some researching myself. Thanks and love, flapjack |

No, never had that. But the last month or so after I would get a hit everything would start to itch real bad. My eye balls would even itch! I hated it, it was torture. Anybody else have this reaction? |

Sue, Yes I have..it could be the cut used or it's said that the reason we itch is because the liver cannot handle the morphine/heroin load..so either..or..or both. Hey Flap, I've definitely had major sensitivity to places on my face if I've fallen asleep/nodded off in a position that's pressed down on my face..happens to legs, arms whatever area. It could be a nerve was pressed on for too long a time...causes numbness for a few days, etc. Or in some cases just a soreness. But that's only if I've pressed or stayed in one position for tyoo long...not if I just use. Let me know if it passes. Keep the peace and stay safe, Sha |

Hey Suzi and Sha, thanks for the replies. Suzi, I get the itchy scratchies too when I'm really high. I think it's a harmless natural side effect from opiates. You know it's workin' good when you get the itchies. And Sha, it does seem to be lessening a little bit. The sensitivity was mainly around the eyes, the brow and cheek bones, but it seems to be passing, so I guess it is just a weird temporary reaction. Thanks again for the input and I will keep yall posted if it continues or get worse in the intermediate future. Gettin' ready for the bed time yall, much love, flapjack |
