When darkness descends on me,
He feels like a friend you see,
There is no where i'd rather be,
I know you cannot see,
When darkness descends on me!

When loneliness calls for me,
I know the pain he brings you see,
I can wallow in his misery,
Hollow to the core you see,
When loneliness calls for me!

Despair was my bestest friend,
he travelled with me to the bitter end,
never deserting me,
well not at least as i could see,
he was always up close with me!

Awareness has killed them off,
Leaving me really lost,
I dont know who i can be,
Rebel without a cause i see,
in the mirror staring back at me!
