TAKEN

HOW COULD IT BE THAT ONE SO YOUNG ,
WAS TAKEN AWAY ,
HER LIFE HAVING NEVER BEEN SUNG,
I SAW THE JOY IN MY EYES WHEN SHE WAS THEIR,
WHICH CLOUDED IN A SECOND,
IT JUST DIDN’T SEEM FAIR,
WHY IS IT THEY SAY THEY TAKE THE BEST FIRST,
PERHAPS US THAT ARE LEFT ARE JUST MERELY THE WORST,
THEY SAY THAT IN TIME, THE PAIN IN YOUR HEART,
WILL LESSEN AND EASE AND YOU CAN MAKE A NEW START,
I DON’T BELIEVE THESE WORDS FOR ME THAT’S ALL THEY ARE,
THE PAIN NEVER FADES YOU JUST SEE IT FROM AFAR,
I COULD BE BITTER AND TWISTED, CONSUMED BY HATE,
MAYBE I AM, PERHAPS IT’S TOO LATE,
PERHAPS IT IS ALL JUST DOWN TO FATE?
I DON’T HAVE THE ANSWERS, DOES ANYONE ELSE?
IF YOU DO FIND THEM SOMEWHERE GIVE US A SHOUT,
FOR IN TIME I AM SURE,
WE’D ALL LIKE TO KNOW, WHAT LITTLE SURPRISES LIFE HAS IN STORE…?BR>
