I realize that this crisis has not happened overnight.
That Big Oil companies are the very foundation that
 puts Presidents in office..and are
STILL exempt from explaining their actions as well
as even opening their books to the IRS!

That Said..

Oil companies themselves are price gouging the American people.
With billions of dollars in profits,
while still adhering to the WORLD market price
is  only another way of controlling the price..
and sucking every last cent,
to their power& control crazed actions from our people!

There is no way that they can shut down refineries in
California
and then plead that they NEED more
of these to be able to lower the price...
or that drilling is the answer ,
since they ship most of the oil pumped in Alaska to Japan
and out of the United States after we built the very pipeline
in order to make this possible.........

Or that while appearing before Congress in the fall of last year,
the prices could dip more than a dollar a gallon
and then on the slow road that has brought us here.hiked it backup
10-50 cents a gallon  till we reach now........

Sen Frist and his 100 rebate was laughable..
trying to soothe the soul of the American people with double talk
and I did enjoy the interview on CBS,
when the reporter asked him if he was indeed a Senator from Miss.
and if it was true....
That children in that state did not go to school last
Friday and Monday because the schools cannot afford gas for the buses to run.....
Shut his tail up in a hurry.!!!!!!

I know this will not happen under a Republican Watch but the answer is REGULATION

The government of the US has the right to regulate anything
used by all citizens if they NEED it for everyday use..
Example:ELECTRIC COMPANIES

Our threats to Iran are whats really causing the price hike ,
as China & Russia are now turning into the suppliers of the world
for everyday products
( thanx Republicans for shipping all of our Jobs and Companies over there too)

and thus can now afford and are in competition
for the very oil that we so desperately need to work and school.........

The ramifications of the actions of this administration are endless.....

and the ONLY thing I am looking forward to is
Election of a DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS this fall.....

and make all of these Greedy -Lying bastards that pretend to have
the needs of America at heart in their actions....

Have to answer for them!!!!!!!

Vote Democratic...
Make Bush open the Books and Explain Himself!!!!!
Thats after you get done walking to work.......
.if you could even go ,
because your kids are home from school!!!!!!!

Thats my take on it........

While what you say is all true ex the thing that pisses me off is that while the multinationals, including the oil companies of course, continue to make record profits by gouging Joe Citizen for his last nickel they are, at the same time, destroying the planet.  Global warming is no longer a theory, any reputable scientist will attest to the facts of it.  I live in British Columbia and a huge swath of pine forest, (an area about the size of the state of Washington), is dying from an infestation of pine beetles.  Under normal climatic conditions these beetles numbers are kept in check by our usually cold winters but we haven't had a winter cold enough to make them put ear muffs on for about ten years.  A recent article in Canadian Geographic says that in less than a hundred years B.C. will be a tropical paradise while our prairies will be a desert.  What that means for those of you who live further south I can only imagine...  They say the ocean level could rise by as much as 6 metres, (about 19 feet), where does that put our coastal cities?  Anybody looking for some ocean front property in Nevada?  Our governments should be going full out funding development of alternate energy sources instead of feeding our oil addiction... I live in the mountains and have water rights to a stream that runs through my place so I've been looking at setting up a micro-hydro system. I'm told that 150 psi in a two inch pipe will produce enough power, (about 250kwh), to take care of all my electrical needs plus some left over that can be piped back into the local grid which our utility will pay for.( Electrical meters can run in reverse too so you know how much power you are putting into the grid.)  Anyway, it sounds a lot better than the $200.00 a month we're paying now. These are the kinds of things governments should be promoting and even subsidizing... North America, with what, 12% of the world's population? uses a third of the energy.  We're oil junkies and it's time to kick the habit...

I so agree and just watched a documentary on
HBO about this very thing
On top of all the effects that are NOW being seen
is the fact that more people die from
The Silent Killer=HEAT than hurricanes and floods + more put together

800 people died in Chicago in one week not so long ago

is a link to that program and really is a must see
for anyone concerned about this issue

Hey everybody, flapjack here. Global warming has to do with the use of oil and other non-renewable/fossil resources. As the polar ice caps continue to melt they shall be freeing microbes, bacterium, viruses that have been in dormancy for perhaps millions of years and when they wake up from their long slumber they shall wreak further havoc in the cornucopia of health problems mushrooming out of control due to synthetics and preservatives in food. Our bodies have not adapted to metabolizing refined sugar. It didn't exist two hundred years ago. Aspartame, Equal, sweet and low and all that sort of stuff is nothing more than carcinogens sanctioned by the FDA full knowing the serious degradation to human health that they cause. The death industry loves it and jerks off about it during their ridiculous closed door meetings, laughing at the profits they make at the expense of nothing less than our very health and lives. Governments decide nothing anymore. It's all corporations now. Big business is fast becoming the new government. Conglomerates, multi-nationals, global, and semi-global corporations, and of course organisations such as the IMF, World Bank, and all the rest of the International Banking cartels such as the ones controlled by the Rothschilds and Rockefellers make all the decisions and have their tentacles wrapped firmly around all aspects of society; education, media, industry, civilian and military technology. Research microwave and electromagnetic/scalar technology. These waves of energy have vibrations that correspond to the brain waves in humans and can be utilized for the control of thought, emotion, and health in human beings. Hearing voices in your head, all that shit. Now consider the wide spread use of cell phone technology which utilize these same types if waves. If your phone has GPS then you can be targeted for malevolent harrasment by these technolgies. The documention on this type of application for this technology(mind control of the masses through electromagnetic means) began in the early-mid seventies. We are bathed in these types of energies every day and since they are electrical and the way our body regulates itself is chemical/electric, the constant bombardment of these types of waves through our bodies is upsetting the extremely fragile molecular and cellular communications within our bodies regulatory sytems, hence even more health problems. I'm not wearing a tinfoil hat. Rather it is made of mica which deflects these types waves. I have a whole body armor suit of mica. I will storm into the underground labratories of the evil ones and spraying them all with plasma discharge canisters and enjoy hearing the sound of screaming atoms flying off all these assholes bodies. Burning them all away at the atomic level and of course all their precious information and machines would equally be burning away into nothing from the atomic and molecular level too. Then on to the Pentagon, D.C., All capitols of all fisrt world countries, their intelligence and law enforcement agencies, and labroatories too, to do the same thing. Destroy them. Then we can all start over again since nothing has worked in the least which has come from the past so we must forget all we know or think we know and forge a completely new way of thought and life. Ahh, I can dream can't I. Nothing keeps me warmer at night when I go to sleep than my ever growng belief in nothing. We don't need government, technology, or money as we know it today. It has brought us nothing but misery, enslavement, ignorance. And look at who is telling us we need it. The elite. We don't need what they do. They can't adapt to any other way of life. Their way of life is crumbling, is obsolete, and I pray their deaths many times a day. DEATH! DEATH!DEATH! O.K. Rant over, forgive me if I've pissed anybody off up in here. Mama Ex, raskolnikov, much love to you both from a rambling fool, and fellow heretic, flapjack
