This was sent to me via email...haven't checked it to see if it is legit or not but it sounds right to me.

COSTCO! read this...

Let's hear it for Costco!! (This is just mind-boggling!) Make sure you read all the way past the list of the drugs. The woman that signed below is a Budget Analyst out of federal Washington , DC
offices.

Did you ever wonder how much it costs a drug company for the active ingredient in prescription medications? Some people think it must cost a lot , since many drugs sell for more than $2.00 per tablet. We did a search of offshore chemical synthesizers that supply the active ingredients found in drugs approved by the FDA. As we have revealed in past issues of Life Extension, a significant percentage of drugs sold in the
United States       contain active ingredients made in other countries. In our independent investigation of how much profit drug companies really make, we obtained the actual price of active ingredients used in some of the most popular drugs sold in America

Since the cost of prescription drugs is so outrageous, I thought
everyone should know about this. Please read the following and pass it
on
. It pays to shop around. This helps to solve the mystery as to why they
can afford to put a Walgreen's on every corner On Monday night, Steve Wilson, an investigative reporter for Channel 7 News in Detroit , did a story on generic drug price gouging by pharmacies. He found in his investigation,
that some of these generic drugs were marked up as much as 3,000% or more.
Yes, that's not a typo.....three thousand percent! So often, we blame the drug co mpanies for the high cost of drugs, and usually rightfully so. But in this case, the fault clearly lies with the pharmacies themselves. For example, if you had to buy a prescription drug, and bought the name brand, you might pay $100 for 100 pills. The pharmacist might tell you that if you get the generic equivalent, they would only cost $80, making you think you are "saving" $20. What the pharmacist is not telling you is that those 100 generic pills may have only cost him $10!
At the end of the report, one of the anchors asked Mr. Wilson whether or not there were any pharmacies that did not adhere to this practice, and he said that Costco consistently charged little over their cost for the generic drugs. I went to the Costco site, where you can look up any drug, and get its online price. It says that the in-store prices are consistent with the online prices. I was appalled. Just to give you one example from my own experience, I had to use the drug, Compazine, which helps prevent nausea in chemo patients.
I used the generic equivalent, which cost $54.99 for 60 pills at CVS. I checked the price at Costco, and I could have bought 100 pills for $19.89. For 145 of my pain pills, I paid $72.57. I could have got 150 at Costco for $28.08.

I would like to mention, that although Costco is a "membership" type store, you do NOT have to be a member to buy prescriptions there, as it is a federally regulated substance. You just tell them at the door that you wish to use the pharmacy, and they will let you in. (this is true). I went there this past Thursday and asked them. I am asking each of you to please help me by copying this letter, and passing it into your own e-mail, and send it to everyone you know with an e-mail address.

Hi Flap, interesting stuff.
I bought two books by the author Kevin Trudeau.
The first book was called Natural cures "they" Dont want you to  know about,
And the second book is called More Natural Cures revealed.
Boy were they an eye opener and something i should of read before i found myself taking, two different anti depressants, BP meds, and morphine, and morphine sulfate and also another med for energy because the opiates made me so tired..
I was raised to believe there is a pill for everything and i found my body fighting the shit i was taking with a vengence.

Im now off the pain meds with the help of subutex, off the energy pill, and as soon as i go off the subutex im going to slowly wean off the anti depressants too.
I would love to be able to look at life with no chemicals in my brain to help me thru.

The only thing that concerns me about the idea that we dont need meds is my son Jack.
Hes been diagnosed with depression the same way as all my other kids and hes using pot and mushrooms to self medicate and im worried as his problems surface hes going to lookng for stronger stuff to get thru his days.
He has read so much on the drug companies and how they controll the news media and dont tell us the way things really are.
Hes SO adamant about not taking medication and that worries me.

Karen, i heard that new report by Steve Wilson, hes awesome.
Hes very controversial and doesnt care who he reports on to get to the truth.
You should hear the shit he has uncovered about our trusty Mayor Kilwamee Kilpatrick and the ignorant people of Detroit who  re-elected him anyways...
It if wasnt so sad it would be hilarious.
The Mayor is a thug and a crook and bleeding the city dry and people are standing back and allowing that to happen.

As far as the pharmacies go, what they are doing should be unlawful.
Pharmacies have two prices, the cash price that people without insurance pay and the price insurance companies pay which is much less then self pay.
The pharmacies jack up the cash price of the drugs to make up for the money they are NOT getting from the insurance companies.
So, as a result the poorest of the poor, the ones who cant afford insurance or the people who arent offered insurance pay triple, to four times more then insurance companies..
What the fuck is wrong with this country???
If we continue on this path there will be two societies, the rich and the poor.
Im going to be a certified Pharmacy tech starting in mid winter as long as i pass my classes,'
Im so excited about it, I know so much about drugs i might as well put it to good use, LOL.
They said there is a 24percent increase in the needs of pharmacy techs for the next 10 yrs.
Maybe one of you reading this will give it a thought. The starting pay is around 12-14 dollars an hour and that
isnt bad for a half years schooling.
The class Is SO HARD but so rewarding when i learn it
I  got a 100 percent on the first test and i think i did well on the second, I find out tomorrow.
I have to do at least 2 hrs of homework everyday to keep up.
They offer this class at Baker colledge and it takes a year and a half to get thru, My class
im doing it in 14 wks so needless to say most of the hard work has to be done at home.

Love Karen

Hi Karen,
Those are good books I have them both...although 20/20 and a few hundred others have been trying to shut him up but that is only natural when the truth comes out.

I have thought about becoming an herbalist and still may do that. I have been working with herbs and natural remedies since the early 90s. I have not been to a dr. since then ...I do all my own healing through herbs, juicing and diet and I will tell you this...I feel better now at 46 then I did at 31. I have been through the ringer with the medical people and got sick and tired of them telling me I was nuts, depressed, stressed and pumping me full of shit that gave me something else...blah...blah...blah.

I even was on synthroid for hypothythroidism and weaned myself off from that and no longer need it. You should have seen the look on the drs. face when I told her that I quit taking it and didn't need it anymore. She looked at me like I was a nut and said well we will just test your blood and see. She came back 20 minutes later and said well every thing is good...and she just walked away shaking her head. One day I will write a book on my trials and tribulations in that time period...god....but I don't think I really want to relive that yet.

As for your Son's depression you can use St. John's Wort...it is the same as the anti-depressants only it is natural. I highly recomend finding them grief therapists Karen...not only did they lose their brother but they lost their mother for awhile too and they had to find ways of coping with that and it sounds like they found that in drugs. And that is nothing out of the ordinary but it is my belief that most depression, add, bipolar any of the psych labels stem from repressed emotions. I say that from going through it myself as well as working with the body. It never ceases to amaze me someone that comes in with some kind of pain especially if it is something that seems pretty traumatic that after I get them to open up and start yapping the pain disappears. I will crawl down off from my soap box now...sorry..but I am just sooo damn passionate about this stuff. Take what you need and leave the rest.

Tis Kool about Steve Wilson I am happy to know there are warriors like him out there. And just to let you know I am laughing at your Mayor...just his name cries fictional characture....sorry...but all politicians to me live in a make believe world. But unfortunately and you are correct they hurt real people.

I am one of those people with no insurance but with my natural remedies I found a way to beat the Bastards!

Karen ...you keep acing those tests...there is a reason you are going this route and it may turn out differently then what you originally planned.

Much Love and Joy To You
Karen

Sometimes I wonder about the pill's I'm feeding my mom every day.  She takes them for cholestrol and blood pressure because she had a stroke a few years ago.
But I continue to give them to her because I'm afraid what will happen if I dont and I dont know enough to justify myself in trying to find a replacement for her with herbs.

I also read those books by Kevin Trudea.  Very interesting.

But everytime I thought I was going to read something to take for a specific sickness, he would just say the treatment is on his web site, which cost more money to get in, or you could get the information on his news letter which also cost more money.      But the books were really good and I wish everybody would read them.

Whenever I go on a juice diet I feel SO GOOD.  It takes a few days, but it really works.

I always want to get some herbs to treat my hep C, I'm not sure which to buy and they are expensive also.   I know I should take Milk Thistle.  What other one's would be good?

luv,
sue

Hi Karen,  You can stay up on your soap box any time you want, i love reading your posts.

My Son is in counseling with my therapist.
Ive been seeing him since April when my old therapist that i was seeing for a year and a half moved to Mexico.
When my therapist left he felt SO bad and felt like he was abadoning me.  He  still calls me every two weeks or so and we talk for an hour and he still listens to my problems
He introduced me to one of his associates who has a doctors degree in psychology and he also teaches addiction to psych students at Wayne State University in Detroit.  I LOVE HIM.
Jack now sees him and i see  a few positive things in him in just a few sessions.

Do you ever see Kilwaumee Kilpatrick on TV??
When he was a mayor last term he use to wear about a 3 karat diamond stud in his ear and he reminds me of a thug, lol.
Hes disqusting and hes has done absolelety not a fuc***g thing for the city of Detroit except suck it dry...

Have a wonderful night, Love Karen

Hi Sue,
Despite the great info Kevin puts in his books, he is still out to make a buck...and hey...I guess that is ok. All the remedies that he recommends can be found in books and websites...that is where he gets a lot of his info.

You can buy herb books and they will tell you what to take for a specific ailment or part of the body.
As far as treating your mother I think it is best to leave her where she is at or if you want to go to alternative with her take her to a naturalpath, herbalist, or homeopath they will know what would be best for her situation. But if you do that then make sure you check around and see if you can find any info on the person first to see if they have a good track record, just as you would with a Dr. There are good and bad in all places of the work force.

Juicing is a great thing to do for any ailment...that is what are bodies are anyway is big juicing machines. They suck the vitamins and nutrients out of whatever we put in and discards the rest. But with all the processed foods we eat, the contaminated water that we drink and the polluted air we breath it is getting harder and harder for our bodies to eliminate the toxins. By juicing ...that helps the body to produce more of the good cells we need to fight off all of the garbage.

Here are some juices that are good for the liver:
Cranberry, pinapple, parsley, wheatgrass, beets, sprouts, cabbage, kale, garlic, and onion. With the parsley, wheatgrass, sprouts, kale, onion and garlic you always want to mix them with something else...never just by themselves.

Here is a good liver juice...1/2 beet, 3-4 apples and then put in your greens.

The herbs...there are tons of herbs for the liver. They are: bitterroot, black cohosh, bloodroot, buckbean, fennel, parsley, plantain, wood betony, fringe tree, celandine, aloes, chicory, holy thistle, angelica, beech, bittersweet, butternut bark, carrot, cascara sagrada, celery, cleavers, dandelion, elder, golden seal, lobelia, magnolia, mandrake, milkweed, milk thistle, motherwort, poplar, prickly ash, rhubarb, sage, self-heal, wahoo, white oak bark, wild yam, wormwood, balm, blue flag, wild Oregon grape, red root, oke root, gentian root, red sage, hops, uva ursi.

Unless you have a book it is not easy to know what to do with them...I did some searching to see if they had herbal remedies out there all mixed up for you already you can look at this Sue and see what you think. I know nothing about this company or their products so research it first if you decide to try it.

Good Luck...have to scoot back to work...K

Karen L.M.,
I have this juicer that you can put the whole damn fruit in, skn and all....it automatically separates it.  You can even use the pulp for muffins and stuff.

I forgot the name......pretty famous brand on tv .... It cost about $80 at Mejer's. You can get them cheaper on Ebay sometimes.

There are some really expensive juicer's out there that will do everything but drink the juice for you, and then there are some medium priced ones, like the one I have, that are decent.

luv,
sue

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the nice compliment...I like reading your posts as well. You have a fire that burns and it will take you places.

I am glad you connected with a good doc...they are hard to find...and hoping your Son continues on the upward spiral.

How is your back? I was reading your post awhile ago on the dr. you were working with that incorporated the emotional with the physical. That is great to hear they are out there. Treating the body as a whole is so important as opposed to treating it in pieces like most of the conventional drs.
I would like to hear more about this guy if you care to share.

I checked out your mayor and I was reading they call him the mayor with the diamond studs...lol. I am glad Steve Wilson has uncovered the dirt on him. Too bad when you bring up the mayors name all you see is "Wonderful Me" Stuff. Hopefully Detroit will wake up soon and smell the coffee.

About the juicing it is expensive and very time consuming. But it sounds like Sue found the ultimate juicer where you can put the whole product in. I have a Juice Man Juicer from the early 90s. You can leave the skin on a lot of the fruits and veggies but you have to becareful because a lot of the skins contain chemicals in them that the body is unable to break down. But I still have to chop everything up into smaller pieces because the opening is not that large but it is one of the better juicers or I should say was at the time. I really haven't checked them out recently.

But for people that don't want to go through the hassel they can get juice from a company called Bolthouse Farms. Freshly made is always the best but that is the next best thing that I have found and they taste just as fresh as if you made it yourself.

Anyway, I will quit yapping hope you have a Great Weekend!

Love and Joy
Karen

Here I have a new rant. Did you guys see 20/20 tonight? The story on the 12th grade girl that worked at McDonalds in Kentucky. I could not believe what had happened to this girl and the people that let it happen. And then what happened when she brought it to court.

This is gonna be a bit long winded but it is one of the most Bizarre Stories I have heard lately.

The manager at McDonalds got a phone call from a man claiming he was a cop and he was refferencing an incident about an employee that was working there and she was stealing. So this guy on the phone tells the manager to go and get this girl out front and bring her in the back room. This was all recorded on a video camera up in the ceiling. So she yells at the asst. manager to go and get this girl and told her what this cop was saying about her stealing shit. The guy on the phone tells the manager to have this girl strip naked and then strip search her. This girl is trying to tell her manager she didn't do it and to please let her go. But the man was insistant and the girl striped. She was strip searched by the manager-instructed by the guy on the phone. This guy was telling the manager to do all this stuff to the girl. Then the manager had to go out and attend to the counter so she got the girl a little apron to cover up with and then she had her boyfriend come in and sit with this girl and talk to the guy on the phone.

The guy on the phone was telling the manager's boyfriend to have the girl do jumping jacks and running in place to shake anything out she had hidden on her person. Mean while you see the manager come in and out checking and every time she did they both were just sitting there because the boyfriend told her to cover up and shut up. Then when she left the guy on the phone told the guy to put her over his knee and spank her butt really hard. And everytime she said it hurt to do it harder. This went on for 20 minutes I think it was...then the guy on the phone instructed the guy to have her perform oral sex on him. He was even talking to the girl on the phone...fucking wierd shit. All this crap went on for 3 hours...and then she was let go. They also had another employee come in there and wanted him to do some things and the guy told him no. The only sane one out of the bunch.

The guy on 20/20 was interviewing the girl and the manager. He asked the girl why she complied with all of this stuff and why she didn't run out. She said she didn't run out because the resteraunt was full of people and she didn't have her clothes, car keys or cell phone and didn't want to be humliated in front of all of the people. He asked her why she did all that she was told by this guy on the phone...she says her parents brought her up to always do whatever adults told her to do and she was scared.

He asked the manager why she believed the guy on the phone. She says because he sounded like a real cop. He said what made him sound like a real cop? and she says he had a real authoritive sounding voice....WTF????

Anyway, the girl reported this to the real cops and the boyfriend of the manager got 5yrs in prison for sexual assult. The manager got fired and one year probation. Again....WTF????

So then the girl decides to sue McDonalds and hold them responsible for this happening. And the manager that got fired also decided to sue McDonalds for all the stress she went through. Again...WTF...WTF!!!

They go to court and the psychs say she has suffered PTSD...well...DUH...but then the prosecutor's psych says...yes, she did have PTSD but has shown great improvement getting over it....LMAO...you just don't get over PTSD.

The manger was saying McDonalds is responsible because she was put through such a horrific ordeal and they should have let her know that someone was making prank calls to a bunch of McDonald posing as a cop.

McDonalds did send out a notice to all managers of all McDonald all over the US. But the jury awarded the girl 5 million and I think she was asking for 200 and some odd million. The manager was awarded 1 million and she wasn't happy with that so she is amending it....WTF....WTF....WTF is wrong with this world.

It is not McDonalds fault this happened it was the stupid woman manager. What is wrong with that jury? Now you have to wonder are these people really that Naive? All of them? Or was the manager and the boyfriend in on some sick sex ring with the guy on the phone? Or were they all in on it and just found a way to screw McDonalds out of some more money??? Like the lady that won that huge lawsuit against them or Burger King for burning herself on the hot coffee they served.

I just don't understand...the world is WHACKED!!!!

Have a Great Saturday....

Hi Karen,

I heard about this, only I heard about it a long time ago, I think when it first happened.  I could not believe this either.

I mean, this girl..........she was kind of, I don't know, maybe DUMB?!

All the people involved were dumb.

It reminded me of this one time I was about 15 or 16 yrs. old and I was looking for a job after school.   I went into this insurance place and there was this old fart there.  I guess he was the owner or whatever.  He gave me the interview, then he left for a minute and came back with this measureing tape and said he needed to TAKE MY MEASURMENTS!!!

He said something about a uniform I think......anyways, I told him in no uncertain terms where he could put his uniform and where he himself could go.   Dirty old man.  Then I got out of there and went home and told my mom and sister.  I think my mom was going to call the cop's, but I don't really rememeber if she did.  Things were very differant back then.  She might have just left it alone, I really don't know.

Teach our kids to stand up for themselves and when it feels strange: it IS.
luv,
sue

Hi Sue,
It is really hard to fathom...are all people in Kentucky really that undereducated and naive? Craziness!

Unbelievable about the guy wanting to measure you...I am so glad you were smart enough not to take the bait...god only knows where that could have led to.

There was another story on there about 2 12 yr old boys that got sent to the correctional center for 6 days.

Every week the kids at school picked a certain day to have butt slapping day. They would just run by someone and whack them on the ass. One of the teachers saw these two boys doing this and she hauled them down to the office and the cops were called. The cop put them in handcuffs and taken to the correctional center where they were stripped searched several different times. They were not allowed to see there parents and sat in there for six days on sexual harrassment charges.

When their court date came up they got the charges dropped because all the girls involved had signed a petition saying they were not harrassing them at all.

What a waste...now these boys are damaged goods by the law enforement people...how sad.
