I have often thought it was my smarts and compassion that were my down fall. I do not understand the contradictions in human nature. It sounds to me like you have the same problem. Too much info, to little power, and a crippling  sense of what we are doing to ourselves.

Your smart enough to want to do some thing, but you know there is little you can do.
