Dear Lord,

I pray for the imprisoned - whatever their prison may be - but particularly for those imprisoned with addiction. May you give them the strength to fight for their soberiety for themselves. Give them the courage to seek help and the wisdom to understand why they need to break free from the chains that hold them back. Be with them as they suffer through the pain of getting free - encourage them Father - let them know they are not alone - that you are with them and love them. Let the feel your love and the love of others around them. Help them deal with life in a world that is raw - help them to learn to cope with difficulties without the needs for drugs. With your grace Lord let them find peace.
