I know your heart is breaking for sweet little Shannon but the grief she is going thru is so so good.
My daughter who is 13 pretended for 3 out of the last 3 1/2 yrs that Gino was on vacation.
On his third anniversary in Oct there was NO denying it for her anymore and the floodgates came rushing open.
She was recently diagnoses with Post traumatic stress disorder, Delayed grief syndrome and Deep depression.
She has been placed on meds and doing so much better.
Sharon, Let her know its ok to cry, let her know its ok that you cry.
My kids were so careful not to upset the apple cart.
They would avoid any feelings for fear they would make me sadder.
We both know thats impossible but to a child it made sense.
My daughter is finally expressing the emotions she has kept so deep inside of her and I pray she heals soon too.
You and your whole family are in my prayers.
Dont forget about the Moms groups I told you about.
They saved my life.
All of these women are or have gone thru all of the things you are going thru and who better to understand you then someone who walks in your shoes....
