I was writing something about this, but I thought I'd ask you guys, too.

What word sticks out in your mind when you think about kicking?  And I don't mean misery or pain - but I had one thought, clear as day in my mind.  All I could think was Arizona.  I know you don't think clearly when kicking, but I swear I could feel the heat and breathe the thickest air I've had in years.  It's unreal.

Anyone else:  Kicking is like ________________________.

Can you expand on this, I'm not sure I get it?  I've never had any thought other than misery, pain, and a whole host of other negative thoughts when kicking.  It definitely wouldn't be Arizone for me cuz I'm always FREEZING when I kick! unless of course I've got the sweats.  Had lots of words when I did Ibogaine, but that was a whole different game cuz like the guy said in his post the other day, you don't feel any uncomfortable-ness, you kick without going thru any withdrawal.

The last time I kicked was about four years ago and the worst thing for me was this terrible taste that I had in my mouth, dont get me wrong, the cramps diarrhea, dry heaves ,cramps, and shakes werent any fun but the taste was unbearable, also a terrible smell of what seemed like death. I also remember that after a few days was that I got a strong sense of hope and happiness, so much that I began to cry. It made me want to change my life.

To who it may concern the only word that comes to mind to me when kicking is HELL but the rewards are well worth the hell I had to go through to get clean.I fought for many years thinking I just cant do it. But as normal I was WRONG now I have been clean off H for three years. Its not easy but its worth every minute I stay here.Today Im clean and to me that is all that matters, the rest is all a gift.

I think all I'm talking about is that dream-like, delusional state where reality isn't real.  It just seemed like everytime I closed my eyes, I saw Arizona.

Kicking is like losing my warm security blanket!--I'm left exposed & vulnerable....

Good reply - I think anyone who's ever tried to kick can relate to that!

Near Neflowpup,
I am glad you were wrong this time about kicking.  And glad you can stay around to see what miracles can happen.  Don;t forget to look for them, sometimes they go unnoticed.  Love Karen
