Good point. If you live in the country be aware that during a catostrophic situation every city dweller with a tank full of gas will be coming out to visit you. They will range as far as their gasoline will take them. They will be looking for farmer Brown who of course will welcome them with open arms. Good ole farmer Brown will have more than his share of fresh chicken eggs and plenty of ham and bacon and fresh vegies that maw canned. Then he also has so much land that the game will be just jumping around like kangaroos. City dwellers are clueless about country living or what it takes to live in the rural areas. Most of them will not be asking for food either. They too have a lot of firearms in which to take what they need. Then let's not forget good ole uncle sam sending his boys out to the local farms to confiscate the resources to feed the masses. If you get caught hiding those resoruces good ole uncle sam will look at that as a crime. Then of course there is the medication problem. I dont see any Walgreens out in the forest. How much medication do you have stocked up? Is there a way to substitute the medicines of today with what nature can provide? Glasses, dental problems, broken false teeth, antibiotics etc.A small radio with a hand crank power unit can go a long way in keeping high morale. Having the ability to barter with your neighbor is also a very important skill. Just a few more things to think about.
