When someone buys something that has an adhesive label on it, and then they don't peel it off after they start using it, it annoys me.
I can't tell you precisely why.  Maybe it's like they aren't sure they're going to keep it, so they leave the sticker on it.  I'm not talking about customers who try to return old stuff.  When I noticed my husband still had the original sticker on a trashcan in the basement, I peeled it off.
Maybe someone out there can diagnose me.

Our parking lot has special parking for associates that area (BFE)  has white lines while the rest of the lot is yellow.  There are no cart corrals in the associate parking area.  I asked one of our co managers why we don't have cart corrals and he said they were not in the plans for our store.  I will grab a cart on my way in to work in the morning.  There are always several out there because the closest cart corral is halfway across the lot.

We have a special place to park too and you're right cvan--it's BFE or the north 40 or the menards parking lot (across the street).

We don't really have a cart corral out that far either, but there is one sorta close in two of the rows.  To mgmts credit, those two were moved out a little farther since we all complained.  i'm like you cvan, I grab a cart of two on the way in.  usually carrying some caffeinated beverage, so that's top priority!

LOL Learning.  Before I got married I did not care, I adapted either way was fine.  My husband had to have it come down over the top.  So I guess over the last 21 years I have learned to keep it over the top.  But personally I still really don't care.  I guess I am adaptable I am a lefty so you learn to adapt and make things work one way or another.

Under, to make it harder for dogs and cats to unravel it, by pawing at it.
We use it  "over", because we've never had unruly pets. Also, I think it's eaiser to tear it off, that way.

In the bathroom downstairs the cats play with the tp on the roll on  the holder over or under and even on the counter by the toilet.  They just love paper on a roll.  Once it is all shredded they are done.  I think it is the tube they enjoy more.  They have never shredded a full roll of toilet paper or paper towels.

At work, my current peeve is co-workers that choose to talk loudly about very personal topics in the break room.  One is what I call the "organ recital" where all those in the room are treated to a medical history, including the last operation or medical proedure, while one is trying to eat a meal.  Today, I was treated to a duet of ladies bashing their ex-husbands.  Why do people feel they need to disclose that much information to their co-workers?

My current pet peeve is the shift blaming.  Lol n'no not shifting blame but blaming shifts.

It seems to me (and I've worked all 3 shifts) that really 3rd shift takes the brunt of it.  And I know that when I was actually ON first and second shifts, I was guilty of doing the "well, third shift stockers must have done that" thing.  But now that I'm on third, I see how very often it's simply not true.  :-S  And I also have heard third shift people get snarky about second and even first but I'm still feeling a heavy load of "NOT ME" gets pushed onto third shift associates.  Maybe because we're asleep in the day and can't be there to defend ourselves.  LOL

Ok, a small example.  I found some toys plugged.  I checked with the Telxon and the plugging made no sense  The missing toys were on the way and it was just a similar toy's overstock jammed into the spot.  So I pulled the overstock and sent it back.  The next night, it was back again.  So I sent it back again with a note saying "this is not this toy....blah blah blah" and the next night it was back AGAIN plugged in the same spot.  (Mind you this is a toy from the same vendor but $10 different in price.)  We played this back and forth game for 3 nights until FINALLY the correct toy came in on the freight and the overstock STAYED in the back and got worked properly to its correct position (by me).  That's just one example but there were several areas of the department where the modular integrity was so poor, one could barely work the freight.

What's interesting is that I actually heard the department manager telling his assistant that "there sure is a lot of plugging happening on third shift in my department".  Um, I personally stocked your department for the past 3 nights (I'm not a stocker-I was just helping out) and I spent MOST of my time UNplugging so stock could go where it belonged.  Grrrrr!

Anyway, like I said I know each shift thinks that the OTHER shift fell down on the job but the shift blaming is probably my biggest pet peeve in a close second with the particulars of blaming third shift for everything.

Store 447, Del Rio has special "assigned" parking for associates too. But my reasoning here is, I am not on the clock when I park I am technically a "customer" so unless they put a time clock in the parking lot I will continue to park wherever I find a spot. We have some associate vehicles vandalized just becuz they parked in BFE, and WM will not be responsible for their damages, so I am going to park where security can monitor.
A pet peeve of mine, Store Managers who think they are God. Ours is prejudiced anyone who isn't Hispanic. Hispanics have all the management jobs, department manager positions and lead positions.
Another pet peeve......FAVORITISM, not spose to happen but it does. It is really bad here. If you aren't a favorite forget about advancing.
Another..........THE FRIGGIN' SCORECARD we are now forced to endure. It has messed up the scheduling so badly that some night there is 1 person scheduled to do 3 areas. We are told we will do them or we will be held accountable. Well, if they think its so damn easy to do 3 areas then why doesn't management show us how they do so we can all learn from them instead of complaining and telling us we aren't working fast enuff.
I have more but will vent another day.......Thanks for listening.
