On the 8th of August, my husband I am joined some friends on a trip to the Bahamas.  We stayed in a resort on the beach, with multiple swimming pools, several different eating spots, and an adjoining casino.
On the day we arrived, I got my dive mask and jumped in the ocean with everyone else.  I saw grass growing on the bottom, and headed out to see if there were any fish. In about 8 feet of water, I suddenly noticed a barracuda that appeared to be 6 feet long!  I stopped, he looked at me, and worked his jaws a little; showing me several teeth that poked out of his lower jaw.
Attempting to appear casual, I turned around, and swam away without kicking my feet or thrashing around a lot.  I thought about those "idiots" in movies who always trun and look behind them when they're being chased.  I decided I'd rather not know he was about to have me for lunch.  When I got back to the shore, I told my friends about the barracuda, and we agreed it was time to go check out a pool.

Oh I mentioned working in Bermuda in the other thread.  I think I merged Barracuda (an awesome car by the way) and Bahamas.  LOL  But I worked the Bahamas too.  LOVELY island.

My favourite of all are the Cayman Islands.  If you ever get a chance...

I have a funny little story about swimming.  When I was young (about 6 or 7) my family and I went to a local swimming area.  My brother and I don't swim but we had fun playing in the water.  My Mom likes to float in the water.  Mom was floating and she felt something bite her.  She came ashore and would not go back in.  My Dad went in and stood quietly for a few minutes.  Some tiny little fish came swimming up.  Dad was able to get Mom back in the water and she saw the tiny fish (about minnow size) come up to nibble) and although she did not like the idea of  little fish nibbling on her she stayed in the water.  It was a manmade lake and it had swimming on one side and fishing on the other.  A chain link fence divided the lake in half.  Small fish could swim through the hole in the chain link.  It was too funny.

Have y'all seen the fish pedicures?  You can actually pay to have little fish come and bite the dead skin off of your feet.  LOL!

Here's a neat article:

And this is a video of a family having it done:

It makes my feet feel tickled just watching it!

I bet that would really tickle.  I was watching So I Survived a Japaneese Game Show and the group that won the game that week got a s deluxe spa treatment.  They got to soak their feet in a little pond with those fish in it.  I wonder what something like that would cost and do they do it in the United States.

I think the article said $50/hour and that the only US spa doing it is in the DC area.  My feet are WAY too ticklish to pay money for that.  LOL

As I mentioned in another post, the Ped Egg, which W*M carries, is a good product for reducing calluses and other hardened/dry skin on feet.  Follow it up with Gold Bond foot creme, and you will be amazed.  My husband has horrific calluses on his feet, and nothing else helped much.  I have tried about 6 different creams, and Gold Bond, which we carry at my store, is a good value--not real expensive.
