Our manager came back from the  Dallas meeting  yesterday. He  didnt talk to the day people but he talked with the evening people and told them there was a new dress code.  Has anyone else  been told about this?  And of course hes on vacation now so cant ask him about  it.

Our manager is back tomorrow.  I work a midday shift (10 AM to 7 PM) so I guess I'll find out then.  The only constant in this company seems to be change dropped on us with no prior notice.

my store manager had a brief meeting with dept. managers yesterday.  There really wasn't much time because he called the meeting late, but... he did say that the dress code for the managers changed.  They no longer have to wear a nice shirt and tie... new polo shirts for both men and women are now to be worn with a nice pair of dress pants.. no kakai pants for them.

Our store mgr just got back from Dallas too. he said the management dress is changing. The mgmt team in my store typically wears a blue shirt and khaki pants. I guess now they will be going to a dress shirt and tie for the men. No mention of the hourly associates dress code changing.

I wonder what the "logic" is, having the mgmt team dress differently?  People can't tell if we work there or not, anyway; why not have us all wearing the same thing?  Maybe mgmt has complained that they look like the peons too much.  I guess it might make people treat them with more respoect, if they're more dressed up than we are.
Whatev'.
