I was also wondering  how many stores are not  carrying  any fishing mods  through the  winter season? They are taking  all of  ours  out.  We  either have clearanced it  or  have recalls on the  rest.  Its  suppose  to be a holiday isle now.

I work in a smaller Division 1 store in New Hampshire.  Although I don't work in Sporting Goods, I noticed they were doing lots of recalls on fishing mod merchandise.  Not sure what's planned for those areas in this store.

I confess, I ignore Sporting Goods most of the time; although I buy stuff from them occasionally.  Taking out some of the fishing poles temporarily sounds like a good idea; that way they can get rid of some slow sellers.  I think the D9 seasonal stuff will sell better in the dept, than out in the aisle.
Anyway, I'll check on this tomorrow, and see what's happening.  They asked me to take over D9 at my old store, and I am very grateful that I didn't.  I think I would have gone nuts.  And guns are NOT my thing.  At that time, I had never touched one, and my Mom made it clear that she didn't like them at all.
