I no longer work for Wal – Mart but I do miss the friends I made while there. Seems like things change but only for a little while still or till the manager gets another directive. I am amazed at how things were done in my store are being done in stores today. *shakes head in disbelief*

I just hit 6 years with the company. As for my general silence, there are reasons behind that to which I'd rather not discuss.

I have been with Wal-Mart five years and three months altogether...I STILL think you should at least have a 90 day period to come back and work for Wal-Mart and not lose your seniority...I was SO fucking close to getting my five year pin it was unreal...all because of a stupid dept manager whom I rarely saw ANYWAYS...but she did MTR me 10 Verizon RAZRs and I gave her 15 Virgin Mobile ARCs...but still! I still wear the "five years of service" sticker on my name badge, as if I never left! Nobody at my store cares really.

I started in August of 1992, the year Mr. Sam died. I left for 6 months, for a better paying job, in 1995. When that went sour, they wanted me back at my store and offered me a raise (back in the good old days when they could do that). I have been back since June of 1996. I would like to stay until I retire, in 13 years.
Never thought I'd be there this long!

I'm not sure what was meant by the above comment, but surely it has nothing to do with my position. If it was made purely to get a response and to put an end to my chosen silence, then I suppose it did prompt one more response. I do message on the boards and am not merely a lurker - my responses are just to certain topics or answering questions I can field.
