My husband and I made a date to vote early today, since I got off at 2 pm  (I came in early to help get the store eady for a visit).
It took about an hour and a half to get in; which is faster than the last time I voted.    I liked the fact that they didn't have 2 lines, for each half of the alphabet.  He's an "F" and I'm a "V."  Last time I had to wait nearly 2  hours longer than he did!
It was a nice day; mostly sunny, mostly breezy.  I wore a windproof fleece jacket, which I kept zipping, unzipping, and sometimes tied it around my waist.  When a semi drove past us, it was like the sun was blacked out.  Then it was COLD.
Anyway, I liked voting early, and I encourage you to do it.  Where I live, 65% of the registered Democrats have voted early.  Interesting, huh?
They haven't said yet who's got how many votes.  Although I'd like to know, I think they should wait until election day to reveal the numbers.
Oh yeah, that's right, WE'RE not really the ones who elect the presidents.  Silly me, I thought my vote counted.

I'm not voting early, but I sure can't wait to vote this year.  I am excited for the first time in years!  We never miss an election, and we expect huge lines this year.  We vote at a church about 2 miles from our house, if it is nice, we plan to walk to *exercise* our vote! LOL!

If you vote on Election Day, please let us know how long the wait was.  As we get closer to the official day, I am reading about longer waits for the early voters.  I liked being able to wait in line with my husband, and getting to vote at the same time.  Now that they have computers, maybe they will stop this voting by the alphabet, in my town.  Normally they have lines for each half of the alphabet, because they have  log books with half of the alphabet in each one.  Anyone else notice there are a LOT more last names that start with the letters in the LAST half of the alphabet?

No early voting here in New Hampshire other than the absentee ballots.  My voting place is about two blocks away from our house, so we will try to beat the crowds by going in the morning before the wife goes to work.  I'm off that day but the Mrs. prefers we go together.  Guess it means I gotta get up early on my day off...

I've already voted too.  I received something in the mail asking if I wanted an absentee ballot and I thought what the heck.  I actually voted several weeks ago, so now I don't have to worry about waiting in line!
