Yesterday my asst mgr told me he wanted to walk with me after lunch.  When it was time, he said he wanted to go to lunch; and he would get with me later.
During that time, I found out that another asst mgr had told one of his dept mgrs to tear down my Christmas stackbase.  I was not happy, shall we say.  I had SO many features in my bins and up top, including Christmas ones.
About 3 pm, my asst mgr was ready to talk.

More later.

He told me he wanted me to order everything in the dept, to fill the shelves.  He asked how long it would take, and I said I would stay until it was done.  At 7 pm I had finished ordering everything except the fish and small animal supplies.  Since that stuff is in good shape, and doesn't sell that fast, I went home.
Wednesday I asked if he had said anything to the other mgr about taking my stackbase, and he said "No."  Wednesday after lunch he informed me that I was being given 36 feet of counter space to fill.  Great!
Yesterday I finished filling it up and signing it; still have some primping to do.
The Cosmetics dept mgr said she was mad when she heard about it, because they were going to put more of her gift sets there.  She decided it was OK, since she already has a lot in the seasonal area.
Last night we got in the (warehouse) freight that I ordered on Monday.  I'm afraid to see what my back room looks like today!

Well, we only had 2 more overstock pallets after they worked all the new freight, and I got rid of two old pallets, so that wasn't so bad.  My buddy in Toys printed my prenotification for Friday night, and there was even more stuff from that big order I placed on Tuesday.
At lot of the new overstock looked like warehouse items that I had only ordered to fill the homes.  What with training a new assoc, having to leave early, and putting out two more rocket carts of freight in my "seasonal" area, I didn't have time to go through any of that freight.
I have to go in tomorrow (Sunday), so perhaps I'll get some freight out.  Sunday mornings are kinda slow--Yesssssssssssssssssssss!
