One of my 3rd shift assoc's is not getting the job done.  He doesn't get the freight out, and he doesn't zone.  I have been working the freight, and letting the zone go, so that they can see what he's not doing.  The freight never goes down to a good level; to where I can spend some time zoning.  I almost never get a Gemini, so my onhands are not good.  The way my bins are located, I usually have to move 2 or 3 pallets, to get to the bins.  If I can only get to the pallets, the bins can't get done.  My freight is on the Grocery side.  My pallets right now are 3 deep.  Nobody else in the store has their bins blocked like this.  When I need to get a pallet off the top of the steel, it can take me an hour of moving pallets, and finding places to put them, before I can get the pallet down.  Then it may take another hour to put it all back together.  I feel persecuted, neglected, and frustrated.

I have been given until 3 pm on Friday, to make a big difference.  Of course, I don't know what that really means.  If I'm lucky, the asst mgr who spoke to me, will be in a really good mode that day.

I am enlisting the help of other dept mgrs.
