augustleo: Don't look too closely at my posts, you'll find all kinds of goofs...I complain that e-mail, I-M, and chatting have made my students lazy when it comes to writing...but I can easily see how it happens. I think that this stuff shouldn't count because we're all so clued in on what we're trying to say that the correctness of it doesn't enter into it. I gotta say that I'm amazed at the people on here...it totally goes against all I'd heard about chat rooms/groups. However, I still don't think I want my kids here (not here...but in chatrooms in general) Have you looked at some of the AI posts? They are appalling!!! And because of the anonymous nature of the message room...all you can do is yell at them or report them. But this group proves that not all of them are bad and there are decent, interesting people surfing the net. I just find it so interesting that we all came here through AI. |
