English Teacher:  Don't worry about me correcting you or vice versa.  I have only been on the internet for a short period of time.   Believe it or not, I actually had a job more than four years ago where I worked for a major internet company.  I knew the basics of using a computer but all of a sudden I was faced with operating two pc's while taking calls in my ear with people yelling at me and asking me for advice!!!!!!  OK, it was AT&T. 

The worst of it was that we were asked to LIE about where our call centre was located.  Have they not heard of Free Trade, yada, yada?  The regulars that used to call would specifically ask if they had reached the Winnipeg call centre b/c they would only talk to a Winnipeg techie.  We have long winters, so our techies have lots of time to refine their skills.  I just never understood why a company such as AT&T would spend so much money building call centres here in Winnipeg and Halifax and then ask us to lie.

As far as students using pc's......well.....there is no way to get around it now but I still think the best way to write is with pen and paper.  Old-fashioned!!!
