I thought I replied to this already but I think the internet gremlins where hungry and ate it.....
I live in the Western part of the UP right by the Porcupine Mountains. I am only 6 miles south of Lake Superior. So MamaJ if you are by Lake Michigan then you are a long way from me. My daughter is going to Michigan Tech. University in Houghton. I love the Keweenaw area, I like to go to Copper Harbor in the late summer and fall.
Nope can't be a teacher, plus my sister is an art teacher and even she has been laid off for over 2 years now. I used to be a Barber / Cosmetologist but couldn't make any money at it. Not because I wasn't good, it was I couldn't sell product. I couldn't con someone into buying a 10.00 bottle of leave in conditioner when I could find something just as good at wal-mart.
I want to find a job that I can do things like typing. I really don't want to work in food service(which is where my sister is now) or motel cleaning, or retail sales. It just isn't me, plus I need my weekends for my husbands DJ Service which I help him with.
