Good evening girls!
Im feeling a little better today.
Just a funky mood I guess.
Emily and I went grocery shopping this morning and then I did some housecleaning.
I picked up some Christmas lights for next year - 75% off.
All of my Christmas stuff is put away too - its ugly!
I love the Christmas lights!
I do leave a string over the sliding glass door in my bedroom.
School starts back tomorrow and I have a PTA meeting in the morning.
Emily has a doctors appointment in the afternoon.
Gotta hop on the tread mill soon.
I am trying to get into an exercise routine plus I want to lose weight.  Im taking baby steps - LOL!
Hope ya'll have a good night!
Hugs, Cari

glad you're feeling better Cari..Reesie Dentist apt. went okay..she had a tooth prepared for the crown, and a temp. put on..and then we are done for awhile, until we can come up with the bucks to have her other wisdom teeth out, which aren't bothering her at all..thank God..
I read the info at that site Janz and it is alot more expensive to keep the ads off the group than yuku..yuku is 6.00 a month and this other one is 15.00...So I think we will be going to yuku..and some people have already made some cute backgrounds for use in Yuku..so I will have to learn how to do that..and they will migrate our group for us at yuku too..so I am gonna work on getting that done this week hopefully..Wed. I have a magnifying mammogram and ultra sound on my left boobie, lol, the same one I had a lumpectomy on years ago..they said there is no calcification, or masses, but there is a thickening they want to take a closer look at..which they did a couple years ago too..I have fibrous boobs, lumpy, so it's hard to tell..anyhoo, off to bowling, luv yas, Peggers

Cari, glad your feeling better....

Janz I know what you mean. Sad to see another year pass. But as long as we are still here that's all that matters to me...

I am really wanting to try the new fourms out, but just not had the time.

Off to try & finish the corian today. We put the sink in backwords..... had to pry it out.....lol what a mess.... we just have sanding to do today!

thanks Shiela..
well we won all four games last night..we beat the 1st place team. and Henry wasn't any too pleased..he is real competative,lol..I out scored him 2 outta 2 games which I think displeased him even more..
my MIL showed up with her hair in curlers! I am seeing her walk in and think "oh please God, tell me this woman didn't come here with her hair in curlers", she had it wrapped up with a scraf and the one pink curler is sticking out in the front..one of the guys said, what's cooking aunt jemima..I have never seen her leave the house in curlers..she is really getting dotty..I said did you just set your hair, and she says well have you ever had one of those days when your hair is sticking straight out all over your head? and I said, ummm. NO..lol...
I had to go with Jeff this morning to drop the explorer off at Ford to have recall repairs done on it..apparently there is some malfuntion concerning the criuse control and it could catch on fire for no reason.., and the letter said not to park it close to anything that could explode!, and I was thinking ya mean, like a gas pump? Holy Crap..gonna go wade through my mail..and then take a nap, only got a couple hours sleep, cuz we left at 6 am to go to the Ford place..Have a good one everybody..Peggers

Today we picked up my Mom and brought her back home. I'm so glad for her as well as for us ... each day a 2 hour drive to the hospital and 2 hours back ... fortunately hubby still was at home. The left hand and forearm still is plastered and will stay so for 2 weeks ... followed by a plastic bar. She isn't allowed to move the fingers at all so the household and even simple things like getting dressed are difficult now. The docs said skin heals first, followed by bones but chords and nerves take the longest time.
Hubby looks good with his new haircut ... due to some scorched hair of the firework he had to let it cut very short but we like it and perhaps he'll stay with it. The bruises at the hands already look good ... this man heals quickly :)
Now I just have to find some Mojo back for PSP ... all those rl issues took my mind over. Started with cyt today but produced only crap for the bin.

Good luck with the tests Peggers. And the car  We actually had our lastbut one car have a brake failure on the way to Liverpool...busy traffic and we couldnt stop, it was a real heart racer getting home and to the garage. Turned out it was a small malfunction that needed a simple plastic part and should have been done when the car was first bought..recall. Could have been nasty and all for a 35pence part, that the guy put in for nothing for us.
Iris what a palaver. Im glad hubby didnt get more serious injuries, sorry your neighbour was ranting. What a shame about your mum doing that, I bet you were torn between worry and wanting to shout at her for cutting meat up. Hope she heals quickly.

thanks, yep, I gotta get ready pretty soon to go for the tests..
Your poor Mom Iris..& you too, cuz you will have to help her out with everything again,..sounds like your hubby heals fast, that good..
Got the car back last night..after today Jeff will have to use it to go back and forth to work..he hit a median taking his Mom to church Sunday and blew the tire..he got the tire replaced but the wheel is damaged..I followed him yesterday on the way home from picking up the explorer and that thing was going all over the place..so he is gonna have it replaced..
anyhoo, I'll be back later..Peggers

man, I am glad that is overwith, yikes, ouchee! the regular mammo is bad enough, but when you have the magnifying one, it is worse..horizontal hurts, but vertical you want your mama,lol.. the ultrasound is no biggie..this is the 3rd time I've had to have these extra test done, since I had the lumpectomy they're pretty vigilant..which is a good thing..
Jeff is taking Reesie to her psch. apt tonight for me..Thank God....
Have a good evening, Peggers

LOL...... I'll have to look at the family tree thing see if we have any rich American cousins
Ive never thought of doing all that, my partner is doing it, and has traced an American branch of the family and one guy was a movie star before talkies! His family are naval. I think if I traced mine we'd more likely be poachers lol.

the neighbor accross the street just brought me the biggest poinsettia plant I have ever seen..she cleans offices and they were just gonna through them out..I had to put it out on the back patio, cuz the cats would try to eat it and it's poisonous to them..there is a farm here that grows them..ugly hazy day again today..

I luv poinsettias ... beautiful flowers :)
we usually get them for X-mas but mostly cheap plants with 3 blossoms only in small pots. I tried to keep them ... new flower earth and more place but they tend to grow big without blooming anymore. Perpaps they just don't like the climate here ... I believe they're originally located in Mexico and Central America so will need more sun and brightness.

It's still cold here though temps have risen from -4 to 20 deg F but it's grey without sun or snow. We started to feed the birds and have some beautiful ones visiting the bird feeder in the mornings ... robins, bullfinch, green finch, tomtits. I just have to remember to take care of the left over seeds till next spring or we'll have growing sunflowers and others in the lawn again :)

For some reason the moving to Yuku gives me a feeling of being caught between 2 stools ... the one group not feeling like a home anymore ... the other one not yet active and I don't know yet whether I'll like it there. My other groups either went to Aimoo or to free forums. I applied for a membership at Yuku and filled out the form but they told me my nick wasn't free so no chance. On the other hand when migrating our data will be transferred to them and taken over ... perhaps my nick, too?

Tomorrow it's my Mom's bday and we're already busy preparing everything ... with only one arm she's quite helpless. But it's nice to see how family bindings work when needed ... everyone takes over some task ... baking, cooking, cleaning house.

I know it is weird to be moving Iris..if we don't like yuku we can always go somewhere else..I joined Moe's sharing group at both aimoo and yuku, and I don't see that much difference really..as for your nick, I don't about that..you may need to put a 1 after it or something..I've never come accross anyone else with your nick before..
Hope your Mom's Birthday is nice..good that everyone is pitching in to help her out..
