Sooooooo sorry ladies I have got the wrong date for Monday we are 24th Yes having Kim helping is wonderfull, and Jasmine really likes her too and they get on well to-gether A.C.C. have been very good and they paid for the operation all $16,800 then they have got this nice young girl to help me. At the moment she comes in at 6.45 gets Jasmine ready for school and gives me the breakfast that Bill has left in the fridge (fruit, flakes and fibre) and leaves my lunch (again which bill prepared before he went) on the trolly by the bed. She then comes back at 2pm, does some things that need doing and is there when Jasmine comes in at three. She stays until five when Tracy comes up with my dinner and takes Jasmine down to her house for tea and keeps her there until eight. Over here you can't sue, for example I fell down those stairs because the concrete had some holes in it and were dangerous, also, I fell outside Dockside because they had forgotten to put out the rubber mat, just to finish it off!! If I lived in America I would be able to sue, over here we have A.C.C. which everyone has to contribute to and if you have an accident then they pick up the Bill's. Sometimes they can be quite hard to deal with but luckily in my case they could not have been better. When Bill returns from Singapore then the mornings will stop and he will wash Jasmines hair, give her her breakfast and when she has dressed herself brush her hair and make her smart for school The system that Lilbabs is talking about I think we have in England, if someone is sick or had an operation and is going home alone and the doctor thinks someone should visit them and help them shower, for example, then whilst they need help some is provided by the government. Good for you lilbabs for being a carer, there just are not enough good ones around. Do you preferr the job you are in now to that? it's terrible the low pay with that very important job. They are calling out for carers and it's been a big talking point about the low pay. My friend who was born with spina bifiter, (probably spelt it wrong) and needs crutches to get around, is on a sickness benefit permently and she gets a cleaner once a week, and someone to do her shopping for a couple of hours a week. It really is not nearly enough. My A.C.C. girl comes through a private agency and I think as such they get much better pay. This agency that she comes from is just starting up so that was lucky and A.C.C. wanted to try them out, so far I can only give them ten out of ten. Oh sorry to be boring Farmeress on the news to-day it said that farmers were losing nine sheep every minute, is that because people are stealing them. Hope you have got your base ball bate on the ready Oh Tigs you and Wac sound like Bill and I when we go shopping, I can always find him when I have finished looking (and Visa buying) Look for the nearest C.D shop and then look up, as he is 6'4" he is easily spotted and then we do the grocery shopping to=gether Glad you were able to get yourself three nice tops, thats a fantastic thumbs up, usually I am lucky to find one in the right size and color. Glad you enjoyed you dinner Red, Happy Thanksgiving to you Hi Yvette, hope all is well with you and you are having a happy day To everyone enjoy your day |

Morning everyone...Ann you started going wrong with the date on Saturday. But it's ok cos I've not needed to rely on the date for anything important over the weekend. I have a washer full of unspun towels at the moment. Wac didn't believe me when I said when this usually happens it's the carbon brushes that need replacing...then after much deliberation about im repairing it himself, he decides he will get someone in to look at it but will still try to get some brushes in case the repair man who is coming tomorrow hasn't got any. I had visions of Wac checking out the filters and pipes and waiting days for the brushes to arrive whilst my mountain of washing grows daily! Already there are two loads plus Robert's bedding and of course the bathrobes and towels that haven't been spinned. Anyway hopefully by tomorrow evening we will be up and running again. Thanks lilbabs for your 'christmas comments' it just goes to show that what you have been brought up with and what is traditional to where you live you accept it as the 'norm'. Wish I had willing family members to share the load on christmas day, although I must say with the exception of last year my mum always cooks the turkey and peels the veg cos I usually work on xmas eve, this year is no exception as we have a clinic between 4 and 6pm. I am considering doing a buffet this year but not sure how that suggestion will go down as the guests and the boys all like things to be as traditional as possible including mum stuck in the kitchen preparing a 4 course hot meal for 15. We'll see anyway..... Sounds like the ACC is like a private insurance Ann, so in a way similar to America that if you didn't have that then you'd cop for a fortune in medical bills. Of course here we have private schemes but also the good old NHS who employ me. But we can sue people or at least try, and many do, some unjustly. as we live in a 'sue happy' society unfortunately. I daren't think what the cost of Robert's medical bills would have been so far. But thank goodness for the NHS. Well it's work for me today, I have so much I need to crack on with that I really shouldn't be here. As soon as I am done I intend to go into work for between 2 and 3pm. First though I need to complete my time sheet and email it to the office as the cut off date is today as we are being paid early at christmas. I personally don't like being paid early as it makes it a long wait till January salary and for some will increase the pressure because they probably spend more than they should before christmas. But if they hadn't physically had the money then, they could have spent it in the January sales instead! lol Mind you with the wide use of credit cards cash is a distant blur to most. Racking up debt they can ill afford, and accrueing interest on interest every month as they only meet the minimum payment. I very rarely use my credit card and if I haven't cash in my purse when I go out shopping I either use my debit card which is connected to my current account or I don't spend it! Anyway...I'm rambling.....better tootle off as it's almost 10am already. Love the bird Yvette. Have a lovely day, evening, sleep or whatever Laters ladies..... |

afternoon ladies, Ann Iam soo sorry, I had bought you a card once I got your address off my birthday card, and thought it was in the mail, low and behold , I used Joe's truck last night and found it in the visor, it will be on the way to you today you look like me at my computer Ann, lol Your knee is bending nicely Tigs, your not supposed to buy you things while Christmas shopping, your supposed to buy me things, lol I have decided to go do my shopping next Monday and do it ALL!!!! Our check should be here on the first and I am off, so I will get it done hopefully at the Mall. One stop shopping. Hoping Patty's snowman returns before it is too late, and still awaiting the mail order I sent out with her angel throw. Yvette, I love Charlie, if you need to rehome him, let me know when I can pick him up, lol I am dragging butt this morning, and need a nice long tubby. First I have to run Mike and Ericka to the mall to put in applications. then I will come home and turn off my phone, tehe, they can call Joe's phone ( I am sneaky like that) The temps are turning for the better finally. We had a very cold week, with January like weather. I am ready for some sunny days for sure. Lilbabs, I could be fine with a warm Christmas. I do not need snow to remind me of the holiday season, or gloves for that matter Everyone sounds pretty traditional with their family celebrations. We will go to Pattys Christmas eve and do our gift exchanges and have snack/ finger foods. I am not going anywhere Christmas day!!! I will have to go to Shirley's at some point, I will get with her on that and see what her plans are. Her family usually travels to S Carolina as they have family there. I talked with Joe about getting my Mom while he is on lay off, but the we realised that we have NO ROOM AT THE INN I am buying her a cell phone. She still has a rotary dial phone in her kitchen and that is all she uses. She was complaining about the phone charges increasing so I will send her a cell phone and tell her to cut the lines with ATT!! I will give my brother all the info and he will keep it up for her and show her how to use it, charge it, etc... Yeah Mom's going high tech!! Time to get a move on, I hope the washer repair man hurries Tigs, time is ticking. Have great day ladies... |
