Morning LadiesI men't to say yesterday Tiggs, I hope you got another pair of those insoles, one pair for your shoes and another for your slippers.  You don't always want to be changing them around.  I have go four pairs of glasses for that very reason. An old pair and a new pair.  The first two reading pairs I got are now by the computer and in the cupboard where I keep my calendar with all my little reminders on it.  The newer ones are beside the bed, so I can read the morning paper, and one beside the telephone. my old ones Bill calls my Deirdre Barlow glasses because they are big old fashioned ones!!!

I do hope Roberts visit to the consultant went well, and he is progressing well.

Oh Yvette, new carpet and new decorating, look forward to seeing the pictures.  Thank goodness you feed Zac so well, and he wasn't hungry when Charlie flew into his mouth Thank you for the link to the ladies take a break face book too

Oh Red I just dread forgetting my password.  I now keep the same one for everything, be it computer or bank or video store.   Good for you with all that baking, I should do some, but don't think I can stand that long.  I did pour some more brandy over my Christmas Cake, and this weekend will have to ice it.  Think I will get Bill to give me a hand, Jamine and him can have fun decorating it too.

Oh Tigs you are putting me to shame, I really should thow out some of my clothes I don't wear, and take them down to the Salvation Army store.  I know I have said this before, but I find it is so hard to do.  I always think "I just might wear this again"   I must make a resolution anything over fifteen years goes out.

Somone, I think Oprah said, if you haven't worn something for a couple of years throw it out, but think thats a bit too drastic.

Well to-day I had a Kidney x-ray, had to swallow some awfull white stuff, one glass two hours before, then as if that wasn't enough another glass an hour later After the kidney x-ray I went straight in and had a knee x-ray, then it was upstairs to the specialist for him to view my knee and see how I was getting on.  My next appointment is in a couple of months.  Meanwhile "keep up the physio" he said-

Well to-morrow morning I go to the Physio again, all go here!!!

Enjoy your day ladies

Morning ladies
Especially Ann it is so lovely to start my day reading your news whilst I eat my breakfast.

Oh Yvette that was a close call with the bird and Zack.  So glad Charlie was ok.
Lovely to hear all about your house improvements. I always feel so much better when my house looks nice. We could do with new doors throughout in this house but the budget won't allow it as we have spent up on the other work we have had done. We'd have to get 14 in total.  Guess they will have to wait awhile.
Has David been doing most of the work whilst he has been 'off' work?
Best of luck of him finding something soon as I'd hate to think of his redundancy running out and you relying on the state as that money goes nowhere at all.
I think everywhere is bad at the moment though, even Wac says he's noticed a slack in his trade.

Oh Yuk! Anne. I don't envy you having had that barium meal. They are necessary because an x-ray can't display soft tissue so the ingredients in the 'milk' define areas in your insides that would remain unseen otherwise. When will you get your results back?
Lol at your glasses, I'm the same I have a couple of cheap low magnification specs I bought from a supermarket and they are kept in 'strategic' places. Also a few months ago I bought a 'proper' pair which cost an arm and a leg and now I wear them most of the time when I am reading, computing and crafting. The other day I went to Argos to have a look for a shaver for Mark and when I tried to read the words I relaised I couldn't see them without really struggling and that was with the catalogue at arms length.

Nope not got my extra pair of insoles as my podiatrist wasn't in clinic the other day when I popped into surgery. I'll try another day or just wait until I go back for my review in January.

Robert's visit to the hospital went ok. The bone is still very slow healing but the consultant said it's 'only' been 7 full months since the accident and it can take at least 12 months. The x-rays from 6 weeks ago and last week show very little change. He has to go back in 2 months and they may admit him for a few days to begin him using an electronic stimulator that encourages speedier bone growth. They could issue the item as an outpatient but then the pct has to pay for it and he says it is so expensive that they won't issue one. So the alternative is if Robert is admitted and issued it then and leaves hospital with it then his own GP has to fund it. I would have thought the other way round would have applied but I suppose he knows what he is talking about. I'm a little concerned that Robert may not get this if it is left to our Gp to pay for. Remember I used to work there and know what goes on behind the scenes. Maybe this is one of the 'special treatments' that our solicitor says Robert can claim for through his compensation. I'll be enquiring about this one.

Red I have sent another email to the addy I have for you, also the link one I sent in reply to the original mail you sent to me. Anyway please let me know if you receive it.
I can't believe you say your all fudged out! lol
I really, really need to have a clear out on here and soon!
I too have things signed in all the time and have forgotten passwords. I do have different ones for different things but sometimes it takes a couple of attempts to find the right one for places I only visit occasionally.

Tis a day for Wac and I to work together to get all the jobs doing that I want doing! Poor bloke had his own ideas of how to spend his day off but needs must.  lol

Best be off now to make a start on them as the day is flying by already.

Good morning ladies,

Nice to read everyones news.  Ann ,  I don;t envy you having to drink that stuff either.  How do people keep it down.  I have a sensitive pallet and if I put something on my tongue that is discusting, it begins the heaves.  I used to think it was  all in my head,  but my Joe is the same way.  Neither of us can take most liquid medicines.   He has been that way since birth, so I know that is not mental, lol

Good the doctor thinks Roberts leg is coming along as expected.  Now to get the  compensation he deserves.  He does NOT plan to buy another bike...does he?  Surley Mom will put her foot down!

ANn I would love a slice of your Christmas cake.  I made a rum cake one year and it wa wonderful.  Why do I not bake another?  not on the list of things to do today, that's for sure.

Speaking of glasses,  I have had the same ones for nearly 5 years now, and it is getting harder to see with them,  guess my next expense should be a new pair,   Of course these are very outdated as well. A larger frame like yours Ann.  Ken uses the magnifying glasses from the drug stores. He only uses them to read.

A week before Christmas, and all through the house.....so much to do, no help from the spouse, lol  Your lucky Tigs,  you can motivate Wac to step up and get things done!!  Bill sounds like a very hard worker as well,  anyone want to trade hubbys for a week?  pmsl

Joe has recorded the Bee movie with Jerry Seinfeld as the voice of the bee,  I remember wanting to see it when it came out, and he recorded it off cable last night, so I guess I will start my day watching a movie with him, then I will make him motivate, lol as Ken is asleep now.
Take care girls, and have a good day
