Morning Ladies I say morning, actually it is 9.30pm Tuesday evening here at the moment.

I have not looked too far back I would just love to read all the news, but if I do I might lose this linc so have only seen the last two.  Sorry to have missed Tigs, hope you have a wonderful time while you are away.

Nice to see you too Sweet, and know you are going to be popping in.

Red I received your card, it was brought up here for me with some other mail, thank you so very much.  Christmas seems so very far away now doesn't it, still it was nice while it lasted.

Had a wonderful meal at the 25th Anniversary dinner, the meal was wonderful too, so they have a good chef there, and the baby sitter for Jasmine was a very nice lady, we are so pleased to have found her as we did not have one here, but the hotel recommended this lady and Jasmine liked her at once.

There were some very pretty "frocks" worn by the ladies, unfortunately I had not got much finery up here, and to be honest I have put on so much weight, they tell me it is because I cannot move around much at the moment, so I just smile and agree with them.  Actually, I have been eating all the goodies since before the Christmas spirit started and am still doing it!!I was silly enough to stand on the scales and I have plut on 9lbsSo I wouldn't have got into anything nice anyway.  Still I wore a nice top and linen pants and as we sat down most of the evening all was well even if I did have to undo the top button on my trousers!!!

Too much information you say, right.

I was looking out of the window a couple of days ago and saw lots of wasps, yes, you guessed it, a wasps nest.  A couple of men have been up from the Council and put on all the oppropriate gear  to flush them out.  One got inside the mans sock, so his big wellington boots had to be called for!  anyway, there are still some wasps around so the job is not finished and they are to come back to-morrow hopefully that will do the job.  I have to watch out for Lucy and Tashia as they like to stalk flies, and would hate for them to stalk a wasp instead.  So fr though they have not come inside.

We went to Taupo to-day, Bill, Jasmine  Tracy and me.  Did some shopping, had lunch and then went to see a fortune teller.  We had our cards read.  Well, Tracy and I did for a bit of fun.  then we did some more shopping!

I am trying to "swim" in the "hot" pools every other day, just to exercise my knee, which is still painful, still every day is a day closer to getting better.  We go home on Monday, and on Tuesday I have an appointment with the physio therapistI will be interested in his comments of how I am doing, he will probably say I have not exercised my knee enough, and I will say I have!!

Lucy is having a wonderful time here, trying to catch birds she waits for hours under the house but her off white fur coat just does not help her one bit and she thinks she is hiding but the birds just sit up on the tree and wait for her to leave then come down and eat the bird food we have put out for them.  Tashia just does not bother.

I went out in the Boat a couple of days ago, bit tricky getting in and out but otherwise it was wonderful, the water was so smooth and it was a really hot day.  Just perfect.

Take care of yourself and don't go overdoing it Red.

Oh has anyone heard of  Reki?  The lady who "read" our cards said it was good for healing ?  anyone heard of it?

Well better go now, don't know if I will be able to get a "line" again, but will keep trying, we picked up someones broad band the other day, Think I told you last time.

Please excuse any mistakes but dare not go back and read what I have written as this computer keeps going slow and then sort of trying to cut off.  Thats my technical term for it!!

Well, Im back and Red did not bother to check up on me or comment.  lol

Yes, Ann Reiki is really, really good.  Its one of the alternate therapies, mainly energy work. Try it.  It wont do you any harm.

And lol re your dressing up and going out to eat escapes. Undoing the top button .. done that so many times in the past, but no more.  I am on a new eating regime and have shed some pounds.  In fact I am now able to get into most of my thin clothes.  A more trim and vibrant Sweet who does exercises at the gym every other day and doesnt stuff her face with processed and refined foods.

And Tigs ... I know you are away, but I know you will read all past posts, esp from me, I am fine.  Nothing had been going on with me.  Just been preoccupied and not enough time to come here and spend hours and hours.  Yes, it might seem as if it should take only 5 or 10 mins but you know better.  Cyber time is so much different to real time.  If Tara is reading is, she will laugh at this remark, or at least smile.

On that note, better get going.  It is Tuesday morning - around 6:50 am.  Just taken Minnie out for her little walkies and numerous wee-wees.   Its Garbage Day, so I better go and sort out my bags.

Hi LadiesThis Computer is on "dial up" not broadband so goes very very slowly!  Bill has just done his 'E' mails and so I "hopped" onto the computer whilst it is still connected.

Thanks Sweet for the information about Reiki, I am going to Taupo on Sunday where a lady who is supposed to be an expert in it, is going to give me some healing before we go back home.

We are on Lake Taupo, holidaying, we are exactly opposite Taupo Town, and it takes up three quarters of an hour to get over there.

Every year there is a big bicycle race round the lake, going round by car is enough for me

Congratulations on losing weight Sweet, I have gained it on this holiday like I said.  I allow the family to be kind and say its because I can't get around yet, but actually its non stop eating

Any tips would be apreciated-on how to lose weight.  I put it on by just looking thru a bakery window

Red hope all is well with you, and you are enjoying your tubbies as usual.  We can't have one here, just a shower but then if I was "tough" I guess I could swim in the lake, instead I go to the hot pools, which are quite hot, so I guess thats a pretty big "tubbie"

I am sorry if I am repeating myself, just blame it on those awful  Tramedo tablets I have to take!

It's another beautiful day here to-day and after lunch we are off to the little village shops then the hot pools for exercising my flaming knee

We are going down the road for a barbeque this evening, will get my favorite burnt sausages, everyone thinks I am mad but I do like a burn't sausage Of course there will be a lot of other things to eat so my diet will just have to wait until I get home.

I have been making Cherry pies up here.  Bought pastry I am afraid to say, but I do make the filling.  Well, I am on holiday aren't I?

Hello to Yvette if you look in, hope all is going well for you.  Hi Tigs, we miss you and all your news,

I hope to get onto the computer again before we go home but it all depends on getting the dial up but will try, as I love our posts and all your news.  I am having a fantastic holiday, but miss my friends and their news.

Once again excuse any mistakes but I just dare not go back and read my post as this computer is so temperanental

Hi Ann:  I guess there is just you and me here.  We have been abandoned by Red ... its that Tigs fault.

Just to let you know that I have come in a few minutes ago from shovelling my driveway.  We will be getting a really big dump over night, so I wanted to get a headstart.  And the temperature is supposed to go way down.  Right now is about minus 1 and its 7:05 pm Tuesday evening.  But by the time we get up it will be minus 29!!!!!    Any exposed skin is in danger of frost bite.

So funny, that I am talking about snow and freezing, and you Ann are having your summer (I guess) with hot tubbying.

Sorry to hear about your knee ... I guess you had surgery?  And it is taking time to heal?  Be very open to the Reiki treatment.  I will be curious how it will affect you.

Re weight loss, its not always about what you eat, but also what you dont eat.  When I changed my eating regime, I gave up potatoes and bread and cheese (all my favourites) and now eating a lot of green stuff.  And as you know, I love green smoothies too.  I eat a lot, but the right stuff ... no processed, prepared or refined stuff.  In fact, when I get invited over - like at Christmas - I bring my own food: enough to share with everyone else. And they usually end up liking it more than their dishes.

I went to a potluck last Sunday, and brought dessert and a small salad for myself.  Ended up sharing with the group.  The dessert was really yummy.  You might want to try it out for yourself.  Very easy.  Soak 6-8 prunes for a few hours. Throw them into a food processor together with the soaking water and get them really smooth (just make sure there are no pits).  Then add one or two bananas and get the whole mixture smooth.  I add a tiny bit of cinnamon.  And thats it.  When you leave it in the fridge, it solidifies a bit and looks like chocolate pudding.   There is no sugar, or eggs or flour or any other goo.

Better end now, as Red might be popping in.

Good night or Good morning - wherever you are.

Well Lord blow me over... what a suprise to see you 2 fine ladies posting.

Your diet sounds wonderful Sweet.  I really want to start something herer that we can all do together, and healthier eting is definitley on the menu.  I have been buying  alot more chicken breasts and grilling them rather then the fried birgers and chicken we ate so much of.  Thats a start,..right?  lol  I have been looking for a good used treadmill as I dont have the 600 to spend on a new one.  They go very fast on the yardsale site. I do eat prunes and oatmeal every day, any brownie points for that?  The drink (pudding) lol sounds good.
Glad things have been good for you and not as Tigs had thought!

Ann..you andI could soend a lot of time in the hot spas. They sound  wonderful, but I have never had the fortune of being in one.

Bob (ken;'s brother that ives with us) went to Florida Saturday with Patty. monday night he was rushed to the hospital , his blood sugar was up over 500. It was 350 earlier in the afternoon after he had eaten, so Patty checked it again.  They diagnosed him with severe diabetes and he will be sent home tomorrow after taking some sort of class about diabetes, and being shown how to do the injections.  WOW, who knew?   I noticed he drank a lot of water , but I do as well.  He even mentioned a couple weeks ago about his eyesight being poor lately. He hasn't done any tattoos for a while now.  I hate the thought that he could have died in his bed froma  diabetic coma and us not know about it.  geeze..

Yes, Sweet,  MSN is closing the groups  in February. We have a sight on multiply that Yvette has set up for us. A few of us have been there and signed in but not actually used it yet.   We are on facebook as well.

It has rained all day here and poor Gabby cat was cold and wet.  I dried her off and put a new blanket in her cat box. She seems pretty happy now.

Well I am signing off for now..I will return later now that I know I am not alone, lol

   Have a nice night girls!

Red, not a drink ... it is a pudding, that looks like chocolate.

Re diabetes ... oh, my goodness.  I have been getting myself knowledgeable about this disease.  In fact, I have a DVD which talks about reversing it and insulin usage too.  And all through proper eating ... and I mean proper, not just pretend.  No medication involved.

I must say I have made a quantum leap in my nutrition knowledge in the last little while. And I am so excited.  I now know that food is truly our medicine.  There is no need to be sick or overweight.  I have a friend who lives in Houston, Texas. She has diabetes, and recently spent 19 days in hospital.  But what I didnt know is that she is 300 lbs.  Thats one big mama!!!  I havent seen her for years, apart from occasional telephone call.  I just wish I lived closer to her.  I could easily help her shed 100 lbs in 6-12 months just through good grub.

I am not looking forward to this cold spell we are going to get overnight.  I mean, this is serious cold.  Minus high double digits.

Re closure of MSN, how do I go about registering for the new place.  I am on facebook.  Why dont you find me under Hal Walter.

Minnie has had her last walk of the day and a big bowl of food and is safely curled up on her pink blanket for the night.  I will get myself ready for bed too.

Night to both of you.
