Afternoon ladies

Thanks for the info re the stones. Now you have mentioned how they have happened I seem to remember a friend undergoing something similar. What will they do to get rid of yours Ann? My friend had to have an op as one was too big to be broken down with medication and be passed out in her urine. I think they can also zap them which breaks them up.

Radiator up and running now, Wac managed to sort it, a loose nut. Thank you for the compliment Ann and I agree wholeheartedly.  lol

Been a busy old morning here..up early to go to the Dr's with Mark and an appointment for myself. I'd just gone to ask if he'd made the referral to the rheumatology people re my feet and he said he had to take more bloods first and check those results before referring me on. I was a bit disappointed cos I can't understand why he didn't do those bloods before, so I have been waiting all this time to move onto the next step. He did say two lots of bloods are special rheumatology detection ones so maybe he wasn't allowed to test for that until the podiatrist said to check for that. Anyway I'll have to be patient. At least I have got my insoles now, they arrived yesterday along with a follow up appointment with the podiatrist. They feel quite good as well. I'm going to ask if I can have another pair for my slippers as well or if I'm only allowed one pair can I buy the extra pair.

Mark has had a problem with his knee and when the Dr examined him he did give the medical term but I can't remember what it is but basically the muscle/ligament over the knee cap isn't moving up and down in the normal position and is slightly off centre so that is giving him pain when he runs or exercises. The Dr said to increase exercise for his thigh muscles as that will assist things and he also has to have a word about his flat feet with the personal trainer and see if that needs to be rectified with insoles as he used to have them specially made when he was younger. Mark is also hyper mobile which means his joints can move beyond the normal range. But nothing can be done about that.

We have been up to physio and Robert's one to one person is leaving next week to take up a post with the army working in the rehabilitation section with men and woman who have lost limbs or suffered severe injuries. She will be very good at that as she is quite firm and very motivating.
Robert is being referred onto a 'core' group where he will work with a large rubber ball to do a whole body work out in a group situation. That won't be until the New Year though.

Yeah the shoe incident was so funny. I agree, shame it missed him! lol

Good luck finding all the little 'stocking' fillers for Jasmine Ann. I'm the same with the boys. They have money as their main present nowadays but they have a sack each that is about 18" x 36" that I like to fill with presents from Wac and myself as I like them to have plenty to open on xmas day. So far the sacks have cost around £200 each plus they will get the same again in cash. I'll be well off when they leave home and I don't have the same responsibility to make sure they get lots of pressies.

Time I was off as the idea of me having this week as holiday from work was to get on with the winter cleaning I prefer to do instead of the spring cleaning. I normally turf out all the contents of all the kitchen cupboards but I may just stick to the main ones we use most as they are all pretty clean and tidy anyway.
Laters ladies....
