I'm only a 3rd of the way through this book and finding it's getting funnier by the page

It's a true story, a journal of a man called Dave Gorman who sets out to find other Dave Gormans (it was a tv series)

He compiles his own phone book of Dave Gormans made from all the phone books in the country and goes to a lot of expense to meet as many fellow Dave Gormans as he can.. because of a bet he had with his flat mate Danny, who reluctantly goes through the whole thing with Dave

It gives an account of how both of them viewed the adventure, Dave with his obsession which increases as the story goes on, Danny suffering through it

Gets funnier as the story progresses, not that it'll make any difference to anyone but I'll do another review when I've finished it (which should be next year some time)

I've finished it, and enjoyed it from beginning to end... pretty meaningless stuff but that's why it was a good read

It was also a BBC2 series (which will hopefully be on video and dvd this year)

He's got a new book out now "Dave Gorman's Googlewack Adventures" which also looks pretty funny (no1 in the UK book charts when I last checked, so must be worth reading lol)

He met 54 (the orignal number that they decided would be "loads" of Dave Gormans) - the original bet was that there aren't loads of Dave Gormans.. although I must say there is some cheating along the way lol

He held a big Dave Gorman party at the end to celebrate, and invited all the Dave Gormans over, all issued with an "I'm Dave Gorman" badge

Who is the author? lol... Danny Wallace (oh yeah and Dave Gorman)
